NEW, 24 Oz. (Ounce) Bar Ice Scoop, Dry Bin Scoop, Dry Goods Scoop, Candy Scoop, Spice Scoop, Cast Aluminum

I bought this scoop for use when refilling my smoker grill with wood pellets. This scoop is cast aluminum and is well made. It will meet most peoples' needs for use as advertised. I could see myself using this to scoop ice cubes, bird feed, dog food, or even scoop & spread ice melt. It is a medium sized scoop that could have several uses. It is not large enough for farm use with livestock, etc. I am very happy with my purchase, and would call it a great value for the price paid.

I was looking for a scoop for flour, since I do a lot of baking, and I'm aware that flour should be unpacked. I was looking for a scoop to loosen up flour before scooping it for the sifter. So, I ordered this. I am a pretty terrible estimator of size and measurements, so I didn't think anything about how much 24 Oz would be. ...this is a big scoop. This is not bad in and of itself; I just say this because it has changed the way I have to scoop ingredients. (e.g., the mouth of this scoop is wider than the mouth of the container) But it's sturdy, easy to clean, and I stick with it.

This scoop is wide enough to hold a good deal of ice and is angled well on the handle that it is easy to guide ice into any sized cup (I have used on 12-24 ounce cups). It is a solid cast piece of aluminum and the only thing I would have liked different is for the handle to be a little thicker so I could have more to grip when holding/breaking/scooping ice. I works fine and I should say I have slightly wider hands than some. Works great for the girls in my shop as it does for me but for a 6 foot guy a slightly thicker handle would be 5 stars for me.

This is a fairly high quality scoop. Initial thought was that it seemed a little light, but the quality of the product is high. We're using this in a small ice maker and it works the way it should. The only real complaint is that the handle is really short. As other have mentioned, if you're scooping anything that's dense, you're grip on the scoop may not be so good and your hands can get really tired if there's a lot of scooping going on. 24oz is good for a small ice machine and for small volume dry goods..but I'd go with something a bit larger if you're gonna be scooping alot or if you're gonna be scooping heavy stuff.

I got this scoop for my wife to use filling her bird feeders. I'm very disappointed at the size of the handle and the over all finish. While the size, 24oz is good, the handle is so small even she can't really grasp it to pick up seed. The length of the handle is 3 1/4" long; enough for barely three fingers. Since I'm nitpicking, the scoop is pretty dinged up as it came. I know use will age the finish, but it looks like it was thrown around in a box of scoops. Not happy with it since we can barely pick it up, let alone dip down into a bucket and try to pick it up full.

I bought this 24 oz and the 54oz scoops at the same time not knowing which size I would like best. My husband uses this one to scoop the dog food with since it is about the right amount per feeding. But it works well to scoop up ice from the ice chest into cups when we are entertaining outdoors as well. Good purchase and you can't just find these scoops anywhere.

I bought this to replace two large plastic scoops used to dole out dog food that we have had for years. The scoops seem well made and probably work very well for smaller ice containers etc. Using them for dry goods you immediately notice how short the handles are against the overall size of the scoop. I wear a men's large work glove and the handle only extends to about 2/3 of my palm when holding the scoops. This unfortunately diminishes the leverage you have when mixing or scooping heavier dry goods. If the handles were two or three inches longer the scoops would be great.

I buy dog food in the big bags but hate serving up the portions from it so I transfer the food to an 8 pound bag. After searching for years for the perfect scoop this is it. It gets enough with each scoop so the job isn't tedious but doesn't spill over the sides and funnels it in nicely. I use it with the wide mouth bag funnel to hold the bag open. It's light and stays clean.
