Okay, so after reading reviews on many heated blankets I found this one. The reviews were somewhat mixed but I took a chance and ordered one. I am very happy I did! I am on a targeted chemo that causes really severe bone pain and swelling, especially in my legs,feet,hips, and ankles. When this happens I get so cold that it feels like I'm in an ice bath! My skin is cold to the touch and my bones ache so bad I can't even walk, stand, or even sit up at times. The only thing I had to help was a very small older heating pad which was only big enough to cover my feet or knees. So I decided to finally get a heated blanket after 8 years of struggling with all that. Take it from me this blanket is well worth the price! It has 3 heat settings like any heating pad and it heats evenly as well. It's very light weight, very soft, and just right to use in a recliner, chaise, or on the couch. I also layer it under another Sherpa blanket because it is so light weight. I've only had this blanket and a couple months and have used it almost everyday. At this point I'm not sure how I got by without one! I haven't washed it yet but I do shake it out after use due to the cat hair. The cord Is about 10 foot long or so just in case anyone was wondering. I also have 6 cats that absolutely love this blanket too! If I get up I have to scoot the kitties over to get back under my blanket! LOL! If you own a pet they will be firm competition for this soft, fluffy, warm blanket! If you know any cancer patients please keep this blanket in mind as a gift or an option for them to buy! The price is VERY reasonable for this quality of heated blanket! It's the perfect size to snuggle under on the couch or snooze with on the bed. Not to mention it would come in handy during any treatments as well! Those heated chairs only get so warm and only for about 30 minutes to an hour. Sitting there for 2-4 hours can be very frustrating, cold, lonely, and painful....this blanket might just give a little comfort to someone on a rough/hard day.

Soft and very comfortable except the wires can be in the way in the foot portion. I love the foot pockets. Yes, 2 pockets which each take up half the width of the blanket. That means room to share if you're close - each with your own pocket. Easy to control, nice and toasty. I've only used setting 3, probably will never use less than that unless I am just using it as a throw without the heat entirely. But at setting 3, def warm enough and that is coming from someone who is always cold and likes to use blankets when it is 90+ deg outside.

The throw is so very soft. Just one recommendation; the foot pockets need to be warmer. The electric coiling doesnt seem to be in the pockets as it is elsewhere. Maybe it was intended that way to prevent direct heat to the feet? It is by far the best heated throw we have purchased. Would definitely buy another.

I ordered this for my camper because it’s during the beginning and end of the season in western NY. I was replacing an old band me down that had truly outlived it life expectancy. I received this just before our first weekend adventure so I plopped it in the camper without unpacking and testing it ahead of time. The evening was chilly so I turned it on before heading to bed- I put it up to 10 based on the old blanket I was replacing. So when I got into bed that night I feel like a I was climbing into a tortilla wrap that had just come off the griddle. It was so incredibly warm! I did end up turning it down to a more manageable 2 and slept the best I had in a long time. I may have even thrown off the sheets at one point and just wrapped myself in the blanket alone; it’s a good thing my husband doesn’t need blankets because he didn’t have any that night. Suffice to say this has been my new favorite addition to the camper and I may even bring it into the house this winter as an extra warm blanket for the living room.
