Nokia brick with propellers stuck on
First off, it’s incredibly fun and super easy to use. While I wouldn’t use it professionally (except for a few rare occasions), it’s definitely worth buying for anyone looking to enjoy a drone. I recommend the motion kit, which I think is the best and most enjoyable. It’s immersive and easy to fly. The camera quality isn’t even close to the DJI Mini 5, but it’s definitely on par with or better than the DJI Mini 2. It produces great footage but struggles in low light. The battery life isn’t great, but it’s still sufficient for a lot of use. I recommend having at least three batteries and the charging hub to get the most out of this little drone. While it’s designed to be portable, it can be a bit of a pain to fit in most camera bags or rucksacks due to the antennas on the digital transmitter. However, I’ve managed to shove it in my pockets before and it fits fine. It’s fairly noisy, but nothing unbearable. After it gets about 15 metres away, it’s barely noticeable unless your environment is quiet. Where this drone really shines is in its durability. It’s incredibly tough and boosts confidence, especially for beginners. I’ve practically abused it, hitting trees, branches, walls, and even a glass door I thought was open (now I understand how birds feel). Despite all this, it’s not a single scratch and still works perfectly. It’s like someone strapped propellers to a Nokia brick – this thing is indestructible. Its low price and practicality make it such a great product. You can control it with your phone or even without a controller, just using hand gestures. This means you don’t have to carry around controllers, which is a big plus. A few months after I bought mine, three of my friends also bought them. Now, we set up racecourses and fly them around. It’s a lot of fun. If you have the money and no more bills to pay, you can’t go wrong with this drone.

A fantastic beginner drone - perfect for a first time drone flying and video capture experience
I purchased the DJI Neo 2 after seeing several YouTubers share their use of the drone for outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, trail running and hiking. I can only say I wish I had purchased sooner and had opportunity to use it on a recent hiking trip to Mallorca - it would have been perfect for this. Plus points from me - for non-techies or first time drone users this must be the easiest, safest and most stable drone to use - I am so impressed with the hand gesture functions, and the ability to simply power up and fly even without use of your mobile phone or any other controller. The onboard options such as follow me modes / circle / helyx etc are very easy to toggle through , adjust parameters (distance etc) and select. All my drone 'pilot' flying fears have disappeared and newbies will immediately gain confidence due to features such as obstacle avoidance and the drones simplicity of use. I can see myself growing into more advanced use cases as time goes on. I have used the drone twice so far and in average to poor light (UK winter!) - the video captured is more than adequate but starts to look grainy in very low light - to be expected. I expect the image quality to be very decent for my hobbyist (non-professional) youtube travel and outdoor sports activities in good light. The only faff I had was not realising I had to complete the in app tutorial before gesture control would be activated. I found this out when googling 'reasons why gesture control is not working' - even then I do not recall seeing any obvious mention of this anywhere within the quick start or more in depth documented guides - perhaps DJI may want to update their 'unboxing' instructions as this did cause me 24 hours of annoyance. This however is not a reason to dock a star in my review - the battery life is adequate although I expect to use all 3 of the batteries supplied each time I go out with the drone. So well done DJI, a great product at a sensible price with fantastic pre-set drone flight features for newbie drone flyers, especially those whose primary focus is on their outdoor pursuit rather than the drone flying itself. Simply brilliant!

Great little drone
Absolutely love my little drone. It’s perfect for just what I needed especially being a beginner. I think it’s great value for money. Although the battery life could be longer but the product does state accuracy, it’s great flight. It takes great video and images, with quality being great. Follows you and can amend the settings including managing manually from your phone. If your looking for a durable drone then this is the product!

Incredible little drone – easy to use and great quality
Really impressed with this drone. Setup was straightforward and it’s surprisingly easy to fly, even if you’re new to drones. The controls feel responsive and stable, and it holds position well. The video quality is excellent for the size – really sharp and smooth, especially in good lighting. The Fly More combo is definitely worth it as the extra batteries make a big difference. It’s compact and easy to take out with you, but still feels well built. Battery life is decent and charging is quick enough to keep you going. Not much to fault at all – great bit of kit for beginners and anyone wanting something portable with good video quality

DJI Neo: Ultra-Portable & User-Friendly, But Image Quality and Noise Disappoint
I purchased the DJI Neo back in October and have been flying it regularly for the past six months. As a previous DJI Mavic Mini owner, I was intrigued by the Neo's controller-free concept, extreme portability, and promises of self-flying capabilities. While it delivers on some fronts, there are definite trade-offs to be aware of. Portability & Design – Almost Perfect: The Neo is incredibly lightweight (around 135g as advertised) and feels surprisingly durable, especially with its built-in propeller guards – a great feature for peace of mind. It’s super portable, living up to its 'mini drone' name. However, a significant oversight is the lack of any included carry case or even a basic protective sleeve. For a drone designed to be taken anywhere, this feels like a miss, and you'll need to factor in an extra purchase for transport. Ease of Use, App & Connectivity: The Neo is genuinely easy to use, and features like Palm Takeoff are intuitive. DJI has made app access easier here compared to some of their older systems, and crucially for me, the Neo offers good Android support – a big plus as my old Mavic Mini had lost app updates and didn't support Android well towards the end. The promise of ongoing app updates for the Neo is reassuring. That said, as with many DJI apps, there can still be a bit of a learning curve or occasional quirkiness. Flight Performance – Tracking & Noise Issues: Flying the Neo is generally a pleasant experience. The 'Follow You' subject tracking is a neat idea and works reasonably well, though I’d rate its reliability around 7 out of 10 times; it does occasionally lose the subject. A more noticeable issue is the noise. For such a small device, it's surprisingly loud – in my opinion, noticeably noisier than my old Mavic Mini. Camera & Footage Quality – The Biggest Compromise: This is where the Neo falls short of my expectations, especially compared to older DJI models. While it boasts a 4K UHD camera, the actual quality of both photos and videos is, frankly, a step down from my older Mavic. The footage is stabilized, but the overall clarity and richness just aren't on par. The images and videos look acceptable, even good, when viewed on small screens like a mobile phone or a small laptop. However, if you plan to display your footage on anything larger than a 24-inch monitor, the quality limitations become very apparent, appearing quite poor. This significantly limits its use for more serious videography or for those who enjoy viewing their drone shots on larger displays. Who is the DJI Neo For? The DJI Neo shines in its portability, ease of use, and modern app support (especially for Android users). If you want an ultra-light, controller-free drone for quick, casual shots primarily for social media or mobile viewing, and you value simplicity and future updates over top-tier image quality, the Neo could be a contender. The built-in guards also make it feel a bit more robust for beginners. However, if you're expecting the kind of image quality DJI is traditionally known for, especially for viewing on larger screens, or if drone noise is a concern, you might be disappointed. The inconsistent subject tracking and the lack of an included case are also notable drawbacks. It's an interesting concept, but one that comes with significant compromises compared to some of DJI's more established lines.

This is my favourite in years!
Great combo if you already have a DJI Controller or if you want to fly without one. I already have the DJI RC 2 controller from buying the DJI Mini 4 Pro last year, so I purchased this combo as I wanted the extra 2 batteries. As of writing this review there's a deal to save 15% so I got this for only £245, the drone only costs £210 and the batteries are usually £35 and the charger is £29 so this is a huge saving getting this combo. I got this drone simply for its size and ease, I want something I can take out with the family and get in the air to capture some simple easy shots without the hassle of also carrying the controller and carry case. It's super durable with the blade cage so I don't even other with a carry case it goes in whatever bag or pocket I have to leave the house with. Flight time is short but that's expected with a drone of this size and that's exactly why I purchased the combo kit to have the extra batteries. I have been flying drones since the first DJI Mavic but once I seen that this simply takes off from the palm of your hand I had to get it! It's so much fun using it with the gesture control and impressive how it lands back in your hand perfectly every time. 100% recommend this drone to everyone no matter your skill level this is so convenient and a little power house for the price.

Good Quality and Easy to Operate
Bought this as a birthday gift for my son to use together and it’s been great. It’s easy to use, the controller-free palm takeoff works well, and the drone is responsive. The subject tracking is accurate, the QuickShots are fun to use, and the 4K video quality is clear and smooth. Overall, a well-designed drone that’s easy to get started with and enjoyable to fly.

Amazing little drone
As someone who makes content for a certain well known video site the DJI Neo 2 is a great addition to my camera kit. It gives me addition angles to use. Show my location from a completely different perspective. It offers fantastic value for money. For under £300 you get the drone, three batteries and a charger. You can operate it via hand gestures or use the preprogrammed routines. You want the drone to fly in a circle around you with a distance you set then it can do that. You want it to follow you from height, side or distance that again you choose then it can do that. It is stable in light winds and the control at a base level with the hand gestures and preprogrammed features then it’s fantastic. The image quality is great. Maybe not the best there is but then you would be paying a lot extra for that. But still at 4K its is surprisingly good for the price point. I have previously owned a drone before. The DJI Spark and whilst at the time that was average to good. This is leaps and bounds above that particular drone. No you don’t get the controller which will either set you back an extra £105 for the RC-N3 where you’ll need to use your phone docked in with the controller. Or the more premium RC2 with its inbuilt 5.5inch screen at £320. Plus you’ll need the antenna at another £19 from DJI’s website which I have also ordered. The controller gives more options like the ability to track your car and fly further away than this base set up. So if like me your thinking of flying further or higher then that’s something you will need to consider buying extra. Right now I’m just getting used to this drone. Using my phone as a controller for limited distance around the area I need. But it is good that the extras like the controller are available separately as and when I need to expand my flying experience. Dont forget that here in the UK you will also need a drone license to fly the Neo 2 legally. This license can easily be found online and costs under £12 and asks you 40 questions. Get the majority correct and you’ll have your own operator ID which you need to get printed ( again online for laminated stickers ) and are then stuck to your Neo 2. The battery life isn’t the best with maybe 10-15 minutes flight time per battery and that’s the main limitation. But having three batteries certainly helps. I don’t think one battery on its own is of much use myself. Because for me I just wouldn’t be able to create all the shots that I need to with just the one battery. The cage around the propellers and the obstacle avoidance system means that this drone is incredibly safe to use and is protected well. You just need a bit of common sense and don’t fly it too close to water either. The obstacle avoidance doesn’t see water all too well and you risk loosing your drone forever should you get too close to the wet stuff. And whilst this drone is somewhat durable I would recommend a hard shell case for it and its accessories. If like me your thinking of getting the RC controller then make sure the case will accommodate that accessory. That way your drone and its accessories will be safe during transport and keep it all together. So to conclude. If your after a drone that is packed with features that you can in future expand upon with the controller. Then this is fantastic and would be a great addition to any film makers arsenal of camera gear. The three batteries is a must. Don’t bother with the single battery and drone combo. That battery will soon run out and you’ll be forever recharging it to get the shots and experience you’ll need to fly it. I am a massive fan of the DJI range of products with also owning the DJI OSMO POCKET 3 and the DJI OSMO ACTION 5 PRO. This is as good as them and I am more than happy with the DJI NEO 2 being in my kit bag.

Good start FPV drone
Pretty good and easy to use; Sadly there’s many laws in Japan and is very difficult to use it outside your own house. The setup was simple and the quality of the camera is acceptable. Wind can be a issue. Flying in manual mode is a challenge.
