Interplak by Conair Dental Water Jet Tip - Replacement Pack

Conair has finally brought the original Interplak toothbrush design with 8 individually rotating tufts in the brush head back into production! I have tried many of the other available electric toothbrushes, but there is nothing that works better for cleaning the plaque from between by teeth than the original Interplak design. I have been using the various Interplak (original design) models for about 30 years, and for the last 5 or 6 years I have been keeping a a few of the last model that was produced (NT 11) alive by figuring out how to replace the batteries. I have found that new model works better than my last remaining NT 11, and have not experienced a lack of power mentioned in some other reviews. Needless to say, I was happy to see this new model show up on Amazon. I have had it about a month now, and it is still going strong. In addition to superior cleaning power it is also great value compared to the cost of the competitors, so I have purchased a couple extra for back-up/travel.

Originally, Bausch and Lomb came out with the Interplak toothbrush in around 1988. It was the best; when mine finally wore out I couldn't find a replacement. I guess Conair got the rights. I tried to buy one from Canada a few years ago but was told that they don't ship to the US. Anyway, the reviews were correct; the motor is weak and when the head wore out I could not find the correct replacement heads on Amazon, so I threw it away. If the original becomes available I will be happy because the concept is superior tech to any other; i.e. individual bristle groups that rotate back and forth using a ratchet type system which work directly between teeth and provide thorough cleaning. Maybe it worked too well!

Hate paying this much for the tip I use and others that I have NO use for but one isn't for sale and I searched!

I bought this unit to replace my 10 year old Interplak. I like that the controls are on the handle. I like that it has good pressure. I like that it has a large reservoir. What I hate about it and the reason I deducted two stars is that there is no lid for the reservoir. It has an 800ml reservoir-----almost a quart----- with no lid! Who uses a quart of liquid everytime they clean their teeth? You fill it up and it lasts 3, maybe 4 days. After just 24 hours I could see fine dust particles floating on the surface of the cleaning solution in the reservoir. My waterpick reservoir is competing with my AC filter for dust removal in my home! The absolute only reason I didn't return it is because I had already filled the reservoir before I realized there was no lid. I bought some elastic bowl covers as a substitute for the lid that should have come with this unit.

I love how the Conair interplak keeps my gums and teeth looking clean!!!

Replacement for my water-pik which is now over priced. Does not jet as hard as a water-pik but that can be a good thing for those with sensitive gums.Works great, does the job and for far less than water-pik.
