Very Nice Juicer
It took about 2 weeks to get here after ordering - a week before shipping and a week in transit. Now that it's here, it's a pretty nice juicer. This is my first juicer. We decided to give this a try before investing more money in an electric juicer. What's in the box? Suction juicer base, clear plastic hopper/body, green plastic end cap with O ring, 2 little white end caps, screw core with white plastic bushing, crank handle, plastic cup, screen for plastic cup, 2 extra O rings, 1 extra white plastic bushing, pusher for hopper (which doubles as wrench to turn suction cup knob), wrench for green plastic end cap, and clamp. I say plastic, not sure what the exact materials are, but this is fairly heavy duty stuff. I've been juicing mostly vegetables with it, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, and also tried a grapefruit and an orange. Works great on these. I cut up the potatoes and onion into french fry size, but carrots and celery I just feed whole. I've found that, if instead of just dropping the stuff in the hopper, if you just feed with one hand as you crank with the other it works really well. I think overall it works faster than cutting up the veggies small enough so they'll self feed. I'm sure this could cut off or crush a finger pretty easily so be careful of getting your fingers down too far. I've found if you feed the larger end of carrots or celery first you can just let go when you get to the smaller end and they'll self feed. I made the mistake the first time of having the cup underneath where the pulp comes out. If you call the side with the suction cup knob the front, the proper place to put the cup is in the back with the protruding part sticking under the crank handle side. That's where the juice comes out. You need your own bowl to catch the pulp that comes out the other end. The pulp comes out pretty much juiced out. I'm pretty impressed by how well it gets the juice out. I tried putting the pulp back through to see if I could get more juice out. I thought this was working but have since concluded that the pulp was acting almost like a sponge soaking up the juice that had already been extracted and was on its way to drip out and the re-pulp was not adding any more juice. Also re-pulping was very messy and made clean-up harder. The screen does a great job to make your juice pulp free if you want it that way, but you have to let gravity do the work. If you push down on the slush you'll end up pushing pulp through the screen. Of course if you don't mind pulp you can leave the screen off. (Here, of course, I'm talking about tiny little pulp that comes out with the juice, not the major juiced out pulp that comes out the other end.) Clean-up is pretty easy (when you don't make a mess re-pulping). Rinse out the screen and cup. You have to stuff a napkin where the juice comes out because another few drops come will inevitably come out when the cup isn't there. Remove and rinse off the little white nozzle. Remove and rinse off the green end cap (don't lose the O ring). Remove and rinse off the screw core. There is a removable bushing on the screw core (on the handle end). Stuff gets under there so take it off the screw core and rinse. Rinse out the hopper unit. (You need to unlock the suction cup for the hopper to slide out.) Carrot juice does seem to stain the screw core and the white tips a bit, but I don't think that's anything to worry about. I've only used the suction cup so far. I did yank it off the counter the second time I used it when it was hard to turn, but I've since learned not to feed it with too much at a time. I just let it cut off a little to feed through at a time. (That is the screw will cut what your feeding into it off in just the right amount.) Also, when I'm pulling up on the handle and it is harder to pull I will hold down the unit to be sure. Overall it's a nice product and I highly recommend. ps I thought I should try something soft since this says it's a wheatgrass juicer. The closest thing I have to wheatgrass I figure is spinach. I ended up putting a good handful through, but no juice! I send a carrot through after and the juice that comes out is green. Not sure how much is spinach juice. I notice that there is some play in the fit of the screw core. It has room to move from front to back. I cut a plastic washer out of a plastic milk jug and put that between the bushing and the screw core. It's a really nice fit now. I try the spinach again. Still no juice. (There's a juice slush in the screw core area, but no juice is flowing out.) Maybe spinach has no fiber to squeeze like wheatgrass does. I have some lettuce to try. Hey, the lettuce actually juices! I don't know if any conclusion can be made from this how wheatgrass will do, but the milk jug washer is a very good improvement.

Best juicer for the price, period. Detailed feedback below.
This is my second Lexon juicer and i love these things. My first one i used for over a year of daily juicing and it worked fantastic. Eventually the plastic started to get really funky from just that much use. I could of kept using it but decided since they are so cheap to just buy a new one and now i have spare parts! For under $50, this juicer performs just as good or better then any 300$ juicer. Of course its hand powered so if you dont like to take 15 minutes to crank out some juice then its probably not for you. I actually enjoy it, every morning i get out everything im going to juice, cut it up and then start smashing. My 3 year old son also enjoys it and helps me quit often. This juicer will not get every last drop out of the pulp but it really does a very good job. There are some fruits that i would not recommend you use with it, mostly soft fruits with no real hard parts like pears, peaches, tomatos. They kind of just turn into baby food and dont move through. You can use small pieces along side fiberous things like oranges, leafy greens, etc. also if you are using this for leafy green juicing only, dont bother. Its funny that it is supposed to be a wheat grass juicer but i found that its area of expertise is juicy fruits and veg. If you use leafy greens, be sure to alternate them with juicy fruits to get the most out of them. For instance, this morning i juiced 3 apples, 1 orange, 1 lemon and a huge bunch of cilantro. Im talking a pound of cilantro. So what i do is i stick in a fist full of cilantro, crank till its starting to juice and then add some juicy fruit to add the juice to the cilantro and that extracts waaaay more cilantro juice then without the fruit. Btw that juicing made 16oz of delicious, non frothy juice. Setup and cleaning is a breeze. I learned from the first one that it is best to clean the juicer before it dries, otherwise it stains and will eventually get funky. If you clean it right away, you only need hot water and a little bristle brush, i use an oversized tooth brush. A few tips when juicing and using this juicer. It comes with an additional nut on the front to make the pulp come out a smaller hole, dont use it. I found it just make back ups happen more frequently and the more pulp that comes out where the juice is supposed to come out, the more clogged the screen gets. Also the screen will get clogged from time to time from pulp, esp with apples, cucumbers and other softer fruits. Just use your finger or a piece of celery or something and rub the pulp around untill everything drains through. Also make sure that there is not water or debre under the suction cup otherwise it might pop off the table when you are cranking hard and that can make a hell of a mess. Like i said, this thing is grear and unless your willing to spend at least $300, this juicer will out preform any centrifugal juicer and most slow auger juicers. Plus you can bring it anywhere. I seriously love it and i have gotten a lot healthier since i added my daily 8-16oz juice. Hope this helps! P.S. i gave this juicer 5 stars because for what it is and the price of it, it very much exceeds my expectations. I know some others nit pick it on how wet the pulps is and whatnot but really, what do you expect for $50? Go and buy and $1000 hydraulic press if you really was that last ounce or two of juice. I use roughly $5 a day in organic produce for my juice and usually yield 16oz. For me, that is a great deal.

Works great for Greens
I bought this juicer because I wanted a better juicer to use for greens than what I currently have, which is a Waring Pro juicer. the Waring Pro works very well for Apples, Pineapple, carrots, ginger and any other general hard veggie or fruit but for greens it is dreadful. The frustration of spending money on kale or spinach, putting it into the juicer and seeing the green just slightly torn in the dump area on the other side was enough to make me look for a solution to this problem. I want to get the best nutrients possible from juicing and as much as I love fruit juices, the greens are so important for good health. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I found this little Lexen manual juicer with a lot of good reviews and decided to give it a try. My first attempt was messy and frustrating and had me thinking I would send it back. But I decided to try again the next day and once I understood the basics of how it worked it was much easier to use. The Good: -It does a great job with greens. The pulp is very dry, thus you are assured that you are getting all the liquid out of the veggie. -Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use. -It is easy to clean. The Bad: -It does take effort to make the juice. I suppose this could be a good as you also get a little exercise! Seriously, it's not hard, it just takes longer than tossing veggies in an automatic and watching the juice come out the other end. Some days I delay making my juice because it is work and time to get a little green juice. -I could not get it to do a good job with anything other than greens. I tried apples sliced, strawberries and pineapple. It went through easily, but too easily and the pulp on the other side was very wet and I didn't get much juice from those fruits. So every day I have to use this juicer for greens and my Waring Pro for everything else. All in all, if you want an easy to use, inexpensive juicer for greens then this is a good choice. I love that dark green juice and it's not so labor intensive with either the juicing or the clean up that I won't use it every day. I wanted to note here that I have not used Wheatgrass with it yet. I have used Spinach, Kale and Parsley. I'll update when I use Wheatgrass and let you know how it works for that.

Downright near to perfection Juicer!
Love it, love it, love it. Why'd I wait so long??? I love everything about this juicer (except maybe the extra time it takes to make all that juice from the leafy greens, but you know what, it's time well spent because it's SO relaxing watching healthy juice being created as you spin the lever). I'm ditching my centrifugal juicer forever. I set up the base of this unit on my counter permanently which means about a 1 minute set up time (and probably 2-3 minutes to take apart and rinse off). Unlike the bigger, heavier juicers, these smaller pieces are so easy to wash and manage and store, light and small it all fits in a drawer and doesn't take up half of my cabinet space. And it juices most everything. I make citrus juice, cucumber/celerey juice, etc. I get about 1 cup of spinach juice from those 1lb. containers, than I freeze the spinach fiber in tablespoon sizes and throw in my smoothies (especially good with bananas) or in my soups/stocks/eggs. As for the turning of the lever, you will turn it for a while, more than you'd like to in this fast paced society, but it is effortless and like I said, fun to watch the juice produce through the clear plastic cylinder. Time passes quickly. I imagine too that the more I do this the quicker I'll become. It also pieces together with such ease and safety (so great for kids!!!). I've cut myself taking apart my old Omega as well as on the sharp teeth of my centrifugal juicer. Sorry, but high fibrous produce like carrot is nearly impossible without a lot of left over excess fiber, time and energy, but I do use thinner strips of carrots to help move some fruits like oranges through the cylinder because the juicer fruits and veggies tend to get stuck without some hefty fiber to help push it through, sort of like the human gut, haha. Anyway you will not be disappointed. After years of trying all kinds of juicers (even the $2000 norman walker) this one has more to offer me than anything out there. Oh, and one other awesome quality, you can easily travel with it. I've taken this juicer with me on vacation where ever there's a kitchen. Loved making juice this year while hearing and watching the ocean waves from my Florida timeshare. It barely takes up any space or weight in my carry-on luggage, seriously. But in the end its all about the juice, and because it's cold-pressed, it's the highest quality juice you can get as long as you use fresh unwilted produce, organic if possible. For me the rule is, when eating at home I always purchase only organic produce and if I cannot afford or find fresh organic produce than I get frozen organic and use in smoothies instead because it doesn't juice well. (Here in CA, Costco is a great place to get more affordable organic produce, fresh and frozen). HAPPY JUICING EVERYONE!!

Messy and doesn't work!
I really wanted to like this cute little juicer. Bought it a few years ago and stuck it on the shelf thinking I would use it when travelling; never did take it which as it turns out is just as well. I have recently gotten back into juicing. I own a Champion, an Omega 8003, a Jack Lalanne, a Beville and an old Acme (before they were bought out by Waring. Most I use the Acme and the Lalanne and I started to wonder if a juicer made specifically for greens would get more juice out. I have tried this Healthy Juicer 3 times now and I have to say, I don't know how you people are getting any juice out of it! Just gave it another try and juiced two large kale leaves followed by a couple of pieces of carrot. Pulp backs up in the end and I could see juice in there too so I reveresed the turning of the handle and finally managed to get it to squeeze out a couple of drops of juice and some very wet pulp through the opening the juice is supposed to come out of. Finally managed to get about 1/2 tsp of juice. Until cleanup when there are drips and drops of green juice everywhere as I am taking it apart. I am getting more green juice out of my centrifical juicers than this thing. It is pretty useless. I have gone over the manual several times to make sure I have it all put together correctly. As others have said, the handle hits the juice collector and the aread of the collector that is under the hole is so small that moving it a fraction of an inch will let juice fall on your counter instead of in the collection bin. For those of you that are able to get some use out of this thing, if your only problem is what to clamp it to, I used a left over piece of 2 by 6 board as my counter top was too thick for the clamp. Organic greens are too expensive to waste any more on this thing. If I get heavy into the greens I will just have to get out the clumsy Champion or Omega. For now I am getting enough out of the Lalanne or Acme to mix with my carrot, beet and celery juice-certainly more than from the Healthy Juicer!

Works well for juicing small amounts of wheatgrass, but makes a bit of a mess
I bought this knowing it is one of the least expensive wheatgrass juicers available, so I wasn't expecting a high-end piece of equipment. I was growing wheatgrass for the first time and just needed something to juice it. I also wasn't planning on making juice every day, but more of an occasional thing I would add to a smoothie here and there. This product seemed to fit the bill for what I needed. The parts are all made of durable plastic and are assembled easily with just your fingers. The instructions say you can use either the suction base or the metal clamp to secure it to your countertop for juicing, but I found that you really need to use both. Otherwise it moves around too much and I actually had the suction base break free from the counter while I was cranking, spilling my precious wheatgrass juice all over the counter. You basically feed small handfuls of wheatgrass into the hopper with one hand while cranking with the other. the grass is grabbed by the screw shaft and carried along to a masher-like section on the end. It takes a little bit of effort once the grass reaches the exit point, but you definitely don't need to be a body builder to use this. The used grass exits the end opposite the crank and the juice is supposed to flow back towards the handle and exit on that side. I found I had to tip the juicer back in order to get the juice to come out the right spot, which was a little annoying but not the end of the world. There seems to be a fair amount of juice left in the grass after one pass, so I typically feed the grass two or three times through the juicer before discarding. Some of the juice will exit the wrong end an will drip onto your countertop. I recommend keeping a small dish underneath the grass exit point during use. Clean up is easy. Everything can just be rinsed off with water if you do it immediately. You just disassemble it and run it under the sink for a few seconds and it cleans right up. Storing this is kind of awkward though. There are a few little parts that you'll want to keep with it and it's hard to get it all to fit back in the box. But I'm sure this is easier to store than some of the more expensive electric juicers I've seen. I don't regret buying this juicer. For the amount of juicing I do, this seems to work well for me. I'd recommend this only to the casual juicer like myself. If you are planning on juicing a few times a day, you will probably wear this out within a year.

What I Was Looking For!
I had very high expectations for this juicer due to the many videos I watched on it. It has exceeded them all!. Excellent construction and close tolerances. The materials are solid and have some weight behind them, which is comforting when you are really turning it. It looks like a high quality product and feels like one when you're using it. One of the things I like most is how easy and quickly it cleans up. In less than a minute I can have it rinsed off and sitting out to dry. I juiced an entire sweet potato, kale, carrots, apple, spinach, and some purple cabbage with great results. The pulp that is extruded is virtually dry. For the sweet potato and carrots, just cut them into thin long strips and you'll be fine. It can get foamy inside where the auger is if you are sending a lot of green leafs through, so I just alternate something watery like an apple to flush it out and then back to the green leafs. I am an athletic man and am prone to over-torque things and break them. That being said I didn't really wrench on it but instead slowed down when I felt the turning getting tighter and the handle flexing a little, which is what normal people do. The handle is long and provides what feels like enough leverage to make it the weakest link. If anything were to ever break on this it would probably be the handle first. All things considered, I absolutely would recommend this as a daily juicer if for nothing else than the pure simplicity and great price/value.

Style AND Grace
I ordered one of these puppies because a friend raved about his; Yeah,I read the reviews... I find this unit very very easy to use, clean and assemble. Whats the fuss? I've been juicing carrots and broccoli stems from the garden so far with great results. If it is hard to turn the crank, back it up and fish out the big parts until you get a feel for what it will take in thickness and length. Myself it's carrots 3/4" thick max at 2-3 inches long. Broccoli stems were fine at 1/2" thick and 2-3 inches long. As far as juice production, I don't think it takes any more carrots than my old electric juicer that I gave away years ago. That monolith was a CHORE to clean for juice. I gave up juicing because of it. This sweet unit is very easy to disassemble and clean with no hard cleaning corners or nooks. You even get a few spare parts! The suction cup works fine for me. I may wipe the counter with a slightly damp rag to aid suction; too wet and it slides. This is a really well designed little unit; don't be shy because it is plastic. It's pretty tough if you pace yourself and avoid hard cranking. I'm thinking of getting famous in the Guiness Book of World Records by juicing that old Ford Pinto I'm using to check erosion in the back fourty...Of course, it'll take a small fortune in hacksaw blades to get 'er down to good sized juicable pieces, but I'm game. Just think, you'll be able to say you knew me Before... I'm back again, one year later and still cranking away... I do have a bit of a drip under the nut where the pulp comes out, but I put a small jar lid under it to catch it and add this very small amount to the rest. Great little unit!

Great little juicer
Being new to juicing I spent hours pondering over what type of juicer to buy (online forums show that many other people are struggling with this decision). After all, prices range from £25 to over £1000 for machines that will basically produce the same glass of juice. In the end I went for the cheapest option. The first impression on unpacking this juicer is that it is surprisingly well made; the plastic mouldings are solid and finished to a very high standard of gloss. The machine is easy to put together although I did start off with a leak due to putting 2 washers in the nozzle by mistake (there was one already fitted in the groove, in addition to the generous 2 spares provided). Results vary greatly according to the type of fruit or vegetable used. It seems to require a fairly firm fibrous nature for the screw to work against. Best results have been with pomegranate: a thin dry pencil-like rod of crushed seeds emerges from the front nozzle and 100% of the juice is easily collected. At the other end of the spectrum soft pre-cooked beetroot just resulted in a slushy mess that went round and round in the chamber yielding no juice at all. Other fruits are in between. You need to adjust the tightness of the nozzle as you juice, according to the resistance felt as the fibrous waste builds up. What is remarkable is the quality and appearance of the fresh juices produced. Spinach yields a pure green juice that is almost fluorescent, and the taste of any juice is fresh and zingy and miles better than anything you can buy in a carton from a supermarket, even if it claims to be "freshly squeezed" (but is invariably pasteurised). I was concerned that the polycarbonate parts might contain hazardous BPA but they are stated to be "FDA-approved" which I assume means that they do not. All in all this juicer is a lot of fun and a good learning experience. It isn't the best juicer out there but for very little money it'll show you whether juicing is for you or not. Comment added after longer use: I've grown to love this little machine! It works faultlessly and is very easy to clean (just a rinse under the tap is all that is needed as long as you dismantle it immediately after use). My wife and I took it on holiday to enjoy fresh juice every day, it went in my hand luggage and there was no problem going through airport security at London Gatwick. I've upgraded my rating from 4 star to 5 stars.

jus d'herbe

Besides The great product, at amazing half the price of another seller on Amazon it's the managers who are exceptional ,from securely packaging ,quick dispatching ,keeping one informed about the progress of the order with the courier company , and quickly dealing with any problem studiously . For me they made a history , making Amazon's Blue Eyed Courier BLUE DART make a delivery to Pin code 201005 , which they refused to do for the past five years by simply claiming it's out of our delivery area and return the package . It cost them nothing to have their truck dump ti where it picked up from .Flip kart and few others on line companies modified their home page to show standard comment " Sorry we are unable to make deliveries to Pin code 201005 Currently " . Great use full product for home use at Incredible half price , Made in China for the American Market , beautiful strong Molded plastic which looks and feels good and durable , compare it with any Indian made plastic product any time , and all from a great seller too .
