Hormel Compleats have their place in my life. I dont rely on these for regular use, but boy do they come in handy for a quick light meal as is, or for use in emergency situations. Basically a meal, ready to eat. Eat it cold or heat it up. Of course heated up is preferred. I recommend trying different ones out. I like the Turkey and dressing one the most, but the meatloaf and mashed potatoes is pretty good. "Good" is a funny descriptor here. We're not talking gourmet. It is shelf stable food. So it is good as far as all that goes. Also, not big portions. If you eat like a bird, this may be enough for you. If were eating it as a dinner, I would need a whole lot more. So plan on having sides with it add volume. Times I eat it as is is when dinner is a ways off, and I hadnt really eaten much during the day. I want something.. but I dont want snack food. This gives me that real food vibe, and doesnt take time or effort to prepare. Keep expectations low and you may find these to be rather delightful. I dont buy them all, and I dont necessarily like them all. But I have a few that I tend to crave, this being one of them. They have A LOT to choose from, in this listing and other listings. So as I wrote earlier, just give different ones a try as you may really dislike some and find that there are a few you really like.

NON PERISHABLE and a good item to keep on hand. I buy for my Son, usually by the bunch. He's "picky" but he likes the Meatloaf one. Go figure, right? Meatloaf of all the choices. Give it a try when your local store has a BOGO deal. They are on the aisle where like canned Tuna is.

Besides saltiness and just a little too much potato (which is good if you're feeding and hungry) this is such a fine, convenient well received product. I really like the 300 calories, packaging for shelfs, amount, flavor, and easy of one minute microwaving. The meat and potato is like a home cooked meal with the protein you need. Nice job big company. Future easy food. Decent price point.

The meat was pretty good but was way too spicy. The potatoes were not creamy enough. If I could make a recommendation Hormel, I would include roasted potatoes and carrots with your meatloaf meal. Nevertheless, the meal is tasty, filling, and nourishing, and perfect for buying in bulk. It is excellent for a ready to eat meal option that doesn't need to be refrigerated. If you buy these in bulk and control how much you eat, I promise you, you most likely will eat like a king for weeks if not months. This is also great in these hard times to avoid the hassle of going to the grocery store. And buying these in bulk is a lot cheaper as well! These are full protein meals with a side and is a great way to start any night. Perfect for work, school, camping, hotels, and so much more! I am Jewish, but I can't afford kosher meat and have no access to kosher meat. As the saying goes, the body is a temple. I personally don't believe it would be treating my body as a temple if I don't eat any meat. Mental illness has been directly associated with people who don't eat meat. So, as a Jew without a lot of money, I am choosing to get these meals. And I am very satisfied! For The Sabbath, it is a great way to start Friday Night and have a complete meal, given that I am in a lonely, stressful situation. If you are Jewish and can afford to keep kosher, you should and you shouldn't get this, but if you are a Jew like me with a very little amount of money, or anyone who is limited with money, and you want easy, ready to eat meals that are nourishing and that you can SURVIVE off of, these meals are perfect and will fill you and make you happy. If you have barely any money and are stressed, try these meals! You won't be disappointed and will be happy you did. A great way to change the mood of the night and to nourish your soul. These are delicious. They don't need to be in the freezer & I keep mine in my bedroom to keep my husband from stealing them. These are all mine! I need to order more. I never get bored with these.

Good if you can't stand long periods to cook. Easier to open than a can if you don't have an electric opener and have arthritis or difficulties with hand muscles or finger dexterity. Taste and texture obviously subjective.
