It's the Best Bulb for a Night Light for any House since we have a Baby so we need it, the Optimum Wattage is 4W and any Bigger 5/6/7/8W will disturb the Eyes !!Quality is Nice and No complaints....Would recommend it for all !!

At 4 Watts and 370 Lumens, this LED bulb is excellent for E 27 compatible lamps. It is slightly bigger than a Philips 0.5 Watts bedtime LED bulb! The brightness is perfect for desk reading. The golden yellow color is relaxing. It is 90% similar to an incandescent bulb. White (cool) light is excellent for activities but yellow (warm) light is perfect for reading!I bought this LED for the high quality IKEA RANARP study lamp. It requires an E 27 bulb. This LED is perfectly compatible with it. An LED bulb deteriorates with use but not with time! So an old stock LED bulb isn't a defective piece! Just make sure that the bulb is functional. This LED bulb can be returned or replaced. It is recommended for E 27 compatible lamps.I have now realised that E 27 bulbs are better than B 22 bulbs. An E 27 bulb is easier and safer to install by simply rotating it in the clockwise direction. Most importantly, it reduces damage to its holder. These bulbs are not available in the retail market. At least not in Calcutta. I had gone to the largest Philips dealer in Calcutta. They don't have these. Even online is difficult. I bought 4 of them - first I bought two and then two more when I realised that they were really good. I think Amazon has already run out of stock for this particular base and colour combination. Cool white is available but personally I don't like that colour. I had bought two double brackets in my new flat which came with E27 holders. They had 40 watt x 2 tungsten bulbs fitted already. Now the 5x2 watt bulbs give equal if not more light. I find the 3000k colour of the light very soothing.I hope Amazon will stock more of these bulbs.These bulbs are a little pricey. But the amount they help you save on electricity is amazing. I hope they last longer than CFLs. I have started really hating CFLs. They go kaput in less than a year - even if you have used them only for a total of few hours.PS: Just to add that I bought four more of these which takes my total to eight of them.

Every artificial light source will get hot after a whole let alone warm. So it makes no sense to call it 'Warm White' when the product box doesn't say that. Buyer beware!!!

I had bought these beautiful golden lamps from Amazon itself. In the First week itself both the bulbs fused and I had a hard time finding similar bulbs to fit in local market. But then I found these Phillips bulbs and bought them yesterday and it got delivered today! One day shipping! Fits perfectly and brightens up the room

I ordered this bulb on 13th May 2014 and was promised with a delivery on 16th May 2014.But received it on 19th May 2014.If there is a minus point to this item then its the delivery of the item.Amazon and its sellers need to get their delivery times right.I know they will eventually get it right.But right now flipkart simply ranks way above Amazon due to their upkeep of delivery time.Now coming to the product:A wonderful product and this 5 watts is almost equivalent of 18 watts CFL.Though I think a 6 or a 7 watts for be ideal for a bathroom.But in a bathroom this wattage is enough I feel must since most people have a habit of leaving their lights on for a long time.Nothing more better than this LED bulb which will in future go a long way in saving some bucks and reducing the pollution.Iam probably going to replace a few more CFL's soon with this LED in a phased manner.Right now it is expensive and more manufacturers in the market is going to surely drive prices down.I think in the next one year ,the market will get flooded by LED bulbs.But I think right now Philips has the reliability since they have been in this field for some time compared to others.The only issue I saw with this bulb is a small humming noise.It could be due to the fact this bulb was fixed when the UPS was on.I have got see if the other bulbs will have a similar noise.

Brightness is good enough for reading purposes If on table lamp or corner lamp. Room is also illuminated to a great extent but don’t expect 4wat to work like a 20watt mercury.
