Ironically, I bought this ottoman to butt up against a window so my little dog could look out. It is sturdy and so far, well cushioned for her. If this doesn't work out, I can move it into my living space, as it hold a lot inside.

I knew it was going to be small and somewhat flimsy but the price was right, and we needed a low stool. Our older dog needs a step for the couch. It occasionally tips over if it's not full and not stepped squarely on (kids and dog). It's lightweight, but not overly flimsy. If you're careful with your stuff this won't bother you. If you have a home full of chaos you might be better off shopping a thrift store for something more durable. Worst of all, call it user error, this is terrible to stumble over in the dark. Save yourselves and get a high contrast color to your floor, regardless of your personal preferences. Dark floors? Get white. Light floors? Get black. I got a wicked bruise and tripped twice, and I'm not yet 40. Watch out.
