LeapFrog Read with Me, Violet

The kid spends hours and hooouuuurrrs with the toy. Works well. Durable.can take a but of abuse.

I bought it for my niece. She still has it and loves it. I would recommend it to any one looking for similar kind of toy.

Volume too low.. difficult to hear it.

Bought for my daughter for Christmas and arrived the day after order, so I'm happy about that!Packaging is good and allows me to see exactly what my daughter is getting without opening the box. It's a really good size as I expected it to be smaller for some reason so I am happy that my daughter will be able to class it as a cuddly toy as well as an interactive one. I was torn between the violet scout and this reader scout as my daughter is 28 months old. I went for the reader as I think she wil get more use out of it but my friend recommended the normal scout as her 3 year old son loves it, but he has had a good year out of his and sleeps with it every night. The reader scout is more expensive but then it does more than its counterpart.Very happy with this purchase and I know my daughter will be on Christmas Day!

Leap Frog and their range are just amazing. I think over the years I have probably bought most of their products. This one is for my 15mth old granddaughter for Christmas who loves Violet and also enjoys books so what better way to keep her encouraged. Small enough for her to carry yet big enough to hold all the information Violet needs to read the included books and interact with your child. Can't wait to get my little one started with her new Violet as she will be able to sit and read on her own with the help of Violet or with a grown up. Violet has press buttons on her head & paws for your little one to press then she will interact with them. I would highly recommend this.

Cute teddy that reads the story whilst your child reads the book at the same time, then it has music to go to sleep with. The only problem is the volume. It is really too loud even on minimum. When she cries the music makes her stop and listen, but if the teddy is next to her in bed and there is no other noise I find it really loud. She has another mechanical musical teddy which I prefer for the music at night as it is much quieter.

I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter who loves it. I gave the 5 stars as it lives up to what the description says. It was delivered earlier than expected and sat there with me itching to get my hands on it, but had to restrain myself until she opened it Christmas Day. Not only is it a great toy and interacts with the children but also will help her along getting used to following the words of the stories. I would recommend this for young children

This is a fantastic toy. Our just under 2 1/2 year old loves to cuddle violet and has taken her to bed every night since Christmas Day. Although, rather annoyingly she did go to bed very well before she had Violet, she now wants to play with her for hours. May need to be a downstairs pet!Our little girl loves the interaction with Violet, however more detailed books would be useful, especially as our little girl gets older. That said, she has been a very big hit!
