Great product

I have purchased a number of car door edge guards in the past and by far - this product is awesome! Easy to put on, looks great, very durable and protects the car door edges that much more. I'd buy this product again and again! Thank you! ps And having to buy a little mallet was a great idea. We now use it for so many other things!

In the end I rate it a good product, with some negative points. I do not know why they insisted you must remove the metal clip at either end before putting on the door edge. I could not remove the end clip as instructed. Cutting to length was also difficult and not possible with scissors or utility knife. It was easy to cut with tin snips and once cut, it was simple to remove the end clips. The strips pressed onto the door edge very smoothly with good retention. I do not think tapping the strips with a mallet was necessary, but I did it with a piece of 2x2 wood anyway. I rated a 4 since it appears to be a good product and it looked good on my new car, but difficulty cutting and removing the clips dropped it a notch. The strips stretch while putting on the car if you pull on it so this should be avoided or else you will need to cut the end again to shorten the strip.

Very good look, easy to apply

My mother was concerned about the edge of her new car getting dinged in her carport so I went looking for a remedy to the problem. I got these for her and had all 4 doors done in about half an hour. They are super easy to install with a pair of snips and a mallet. Just cut them to length, push them over to edge of the door and tap them down with the mallet. No glue, no screws. They fit tight and don't affect the function of the doors.

This product was exactly what I was looking for. It does the job beautifully ., Easy to install.

The strip has soft metal components that sandwich to the door edge to hold it in place. I used a nylon headed hammer to gently tap it into place and cut each length using EMT shears. the 10m length is more than enough to do the four doors and the edge of my rear hatch on my Santa Fe. Cutting and installation was a breeze even with the temperatures just above freezing. The edge is secure and while it won't pop off it will be easy to remove I suspect with pliers. the gloss black finish adds a nice touch to the door trim while also protecting the edge from accidental impact when opening the door.
