Trailer Aid Camco Tandem Tire Changing Ramp with 4.5-Inch Lift, Yellow (21000)

Well, I've had this for about 8 months and finally had the unfortunate circumstances to use it lol. While towing my boat on a tandem axle trailer, I hit a pot hole and smashed one of the rims. This lead to a blow out and the need to change the rim/tire. We weren't very far from the boat ramp and parking lot so, I decided it would be safer to do it there. After breaking the lugs loose, I laid Trailer Aid down and backed the trailer onto it (which took all of 15 seconds). Once under the good rim/tire on the same side it provided me plenty of clearance (easy 4-5 inches under the tire) to pull the bad one off and toss the spare on! Honestly, I was super impressed with how easy and efficient it made the process. Now, I was hustling as my boat was still at the ramp but the whole process took me only about ten minutes without having to set up a jack and all that mess. I toss one in the back of my truck every time I tow the boat and even bought a few more to toss in my other trailers. Really, really great design and about as easy to use as you could ever imagine. Its a little bulky but way lighter than a jack and I would highly recommend this to anyone if it fits your needs!

Liked the product. Easy to use. Worth the money. Now after saying that, the ramp isn't tall enough to change fully inflated tires on my tandem axel RV. I had to add 3 inches of blocking under the lift in a special way to get the height needed. (Staggered the blocking. 2x6 block under lift where tire would rest, then another 2x6 block half of the way under the lift where the tire would rest. The trailer would not go up the lift when the blocking was directly on top of each other.) If I have a flat tire to change I will still need to do the blocking to get a fully inflated tire on. Just a wee bit more work but no problem since I know how and what to do to accomplish the task. Yes siree nice not to have to get under the trailer with a jack.🤓

If you own a tandem axle trailer, this thing is a must. I used mine several times until the bolts at the bottom holding it in place finally gave way. I wish they would've pasted longer, but I think it was my fault for not securing the wedge on the concrete better the last time I used it. I have used this several time to change tires that had blown out on the road and it is sooooo much better than jacking up the trailer, which feels unsafe and I never was quite comfortable with. I like it so much I bought another to replace the one I broke and will treat this one a little better than the last. I will say that I believe the last one gave me enough utility to justify its price before it gave way. Don't leave home without one.

Had to use this to change a tire on my 5th wheel double axel camper. Although it didn't raise the wheel with the flat all the way off the ground it made it much, much easier to jack up that wheel and change the tire. You can pay more for 1" higher lift but in my opinion that still won't be enough for a big RV. Very sturdily built, I can recommend this

This is the second one of these for us. We just bought a second horse trailer and this is so valuable I wanted one for each. Can't afford to forget it in the other trailer. I have read some other reviews and can't figure out how they can't get the wheel off the ground enough. You put this by the good wheel and drive it up onto the trailer-aid, the bad wheel is lifted off the ground without using a jack. When you are done, simply drive back off the ramp. Don't forget to loosen the lug nuts on the bad tire before you get it off the ground, can be tough to keep the tire still while you try to get the lugs off. The best thing is that you don't have to remove horses from the trailer to change the tire. It can be extremely dangerous to take horses off a trailer on the side of the road. Not to mention if you are alone what you do with them while you change the tire. If you own a tandem axel trailer this is an absolute MUST! If you have a tandem axel horse trailer, it may just save you or your horses life.

I bought one of these a few years ago but I guess I did a long term loan to the person that borrowed my trailer and had to buy a new one. It's nice not having to carry the additional floor jack in our horse trailer now so this takes up less room. Plus they sell a bracket that allows you to mount and store it up off the floor. You could pull it out and use it the first time without any instructions and get the tire changed quickly. Just drive the good tire onto the jack (slightly loosen the flat tire lugs first) and it lifts the flat/bad one off the ground to change it. No jack that slips. As with any jack, you do need a stable surface to sit this on or you will bury it in soft surfaces if the trailer weights enough (like our loaded horse trailer). So, as with some jacks, there is no need to unload weight before using this - we've safely changed a tire while the 3 horses were in the trailer. I also love the bright yellow color on this as it helps make it easier to see if you *do* sit it on the floor of the trailer. You can easily drill 2 holes in each side and secure some nylon rope to make a handle for it if you with. As I said, we had a similar trailer jack before but this design has some good grips along the bottom to help keep it in place while pulling the trailer onto it. There are some saw-teeth parts and a few round knobs that appear to have rids that run up the side towards the top - more than likely helping with the support of the base design. Over all, I would buy another in a heart beat if another friend "borrows" it again. Or charge them for it so I can buy another.

I use to carry a cheap china made bottle jack that was heavy and dangerous to use until I saw this product so I ordered it and just did a bearing repack on my travel trailer, this thing performed as expected and was so simple and safe to use its ridiculous. Imagine having a blowout on the side of a highway and trying to stick a bottle jack under your RV and dealing with all that mess jacking it up and down etc. This product you just stick under the other tire and either roll back or forward onto it and your ready to remove the bad wheel and replace it then roll off and be on your way. So quick, so safe and one person can do it by themselves. A truly must have for anyone with a tandem axle vehicle. Don't even think twice about it, buy it and love it!

Needing to change all 4 tires on my travel trailer. I wasn't looking forward to the job. After seeing the trailer aid online I figured I'd give it a try. Well I'm really glad I did it was way better than trying to use a jack a more convenient and light and easy to use. Some said to use an extra piece of wood for height which I did but wasn't nesessary would have had plenty of clearance to change tire just using the trailer aid alone. In my job I have changed 100s of tires and this was by far one of the easiest ways to do it. If you had a flat on the side of the highway this would help alot its light and easy to store. Would recommend this to anyone with a travel trailer.

I had read mixed reviews about this product and whether it gets the tyre far enough off the ground to change, but it works perfectly on my dual axle horse float. Drive one tyre onto the trailer aid and the other tyre is the perfect height off the ground to change. Works for both front and back tyres. Very happy with this product.
