LoftZone StoreFloor 6m2 kit (with Boards) for an Easy-to-fit and Strong Deck Above Your Insulation

The kit came with everything I needed to to install a raised flooring above the new loft insulation I had just laid. The raised flooring is needed as the required depth of insulation is 270mm with 100 between the rafters and 170mm laid at 90 degrees across the rafters, which means you can no longer board your loft directly on top of the rafters. The directions were very clear and simple to install. The kit was extremely generous with screws and boarding. I have an awful lot of stuff in my loft, some of it very heavy, but these kits are very strong and sturdy and is now holding all my old stuff whilst allowing thick layer of insulation below I would definitely recommend these kits.

I bought this kit and I wanted a complete solution and it provides this. I watched the helpful online videos and followed the instructions carefully. I put in supports on every beam as I wanted the strongest and most weight distributed option, this meant I did have order some additional supports and cross beams for my setup. Some of the time I slid the cross-beams onto the supports and used that to help guide where the next one should go. The kit came with more than enough screws even with my extra posts, usually solutions don't provide enough, it's always good to have spares as sometimes the screws don't cut into the cross beams and they blunt so need replacing. I had some gloves but no mask, was fine during the first half of the work but I didn't the rest another day which involved more significant moving of the topup insultation and I could have done with that mask, horrible stuff, poundland, screwfix, wickes, wilkos etc for those items. I had to do some cutting of 3 boards and 1 beam to fit my solution and this was easy enough with a jigsaw. Definitely a great solution to keeping your insulation working and providing some storage. If you want to keep it simple without extra electrical wiring, I recommend some LED sensor lights to attach to the rafters, during installation I did use a wired one on an extension as brighter illumination was required.

I was looking at solutions to create a storage space in my attic for months and finally saw this item - I researched on how to install for weeks before I purchased to have a go myself. The item was so easy to install on paper, but actually being in the attic and being weary of where to put your foot etc make this task a lot harder. The most iportant thing is to plan and measure before you intsall the footings. once oyu ahve all the footings installed and the metal rails in, the rest is very easy makign the end product very satisfying. Will definately purchase this again when i get a new house. If only this company does the same system for garden decking!

Purchased a 6m2 kit with boards. Delivered on a pallet. The system works well. When first setting it out its a bit of a puzzle, for instance, my joists are not a standard width, so I used a jigsaw to cut every 2nd steel strip to length (not nearly as bad as it sounds). And when you have beams and other obstructions to work around, you need to work out how to do it. That said, I was quoted £2k to have a loft company put in the full 170mm of insulation, raise my joists then board. I will have sufficient storage space (I think) with 2 6m2 kits (under £400) and two days of my time. I am purchasing a second set today. I think this next one will go in much faster because I know what im doing. I did purchase paper onesies, goggles, jigsaw and a few other things to enable this, but even so, its much much cheaper. the finished product appears to be very stable and rugged. I would not have attempted this job with the loft stilts I have seen (or with wood for that matter) so this product really made all the difference.

Easy to install and a sturdy design. Arrived on a pallet a few days after ordering. Only installed half of the 6m2 kit so far, but I got it done in an afternoon. I’m going to slowly kit out the whole loft. Will definitely be ordering more kits from these guys. Very pleased.

I bought this size kit knowing it would probably only do about half of my loft (bungalow) but wanted to see how I got on with it. Before purchasing I read the reviews and also watched the excellent video by [...] which was really easy to follow. The kit comes with perfectly good instructions but I learn better with visual aids rather than written ones! I have since fitted the kit on one side of the loft and bought extra pieces separately to finish the other side. I am thrilled with the result - a much tidier and safer loft space in which to move around and access all my belongings and of course the insulation is no longer squashed and better able to do its job. NB before purchasing please check you have adequate height in the roof space as when the storefloor is in place it becomes almost a foot higher. I have a shallow pitch roof but weighed up the pros and cons and decided to go ahead with it anyway. I'm not tall (5'5" female) and can happily cope stooping slightly for the short periods that I'm up there putting things away etc. Its definitely an improvement and I even managed to fit the boards around a water pipe that was protruding- feeling quite chuffed with myself! Also fitted some Loft zone shelf kits first - this helped to keep some of the lighter items out my way while doing the floor.

Whilst ensuring my loft insulation meets fully with the current regulations I can still use the area for storage. It's relatively easy to install if you take your time and the resulting floor feels good a solid.

This system works perfekt. In a few h we had a stable solution. And the boards fit though a very small loft hatch. Also very flexible around cable and other installation.
