Looks cool but...
I had been doing research for a bit trying to find something I could use while riding my bicycle in high traffic hours in the city. This item had decent reviews and specifications. Upon arrival, it did look really nice and with a quality finish. The first and major problem I had was the fit. When you strap it on and the straps go around your the back of your neck, and if you do not have a big chin, you feel like all the pressure of the mask is on your nose and not under your chin. There is a small piece of velcro that comes attached to the straps so that you can adjust for length, but it will not fix the issue of the space under the chin. In order for me to get a good seal all around, I had to wear a beanie or hat and then wrap the velcro upwards and higher up and around the hat or beanie increasing the seal under my chin.So if you have a small chin, perhaps you might encounter the same problem. I think there must be a way of improving the straps so that you can correct for chin size and facial shape differences. There are two other issues that I had with this mask but these might be common to all masks. The first is regarding scents. I thought they would be less perceivable but every time I passed a car revving, a person smoking, a food stand, or any other source of strong scents, I could pretty much detect them the same as if I had no mask in my opinion. Perhaps no mask can really stop scents? It just made me wonder how truly effective it was.The second additional issue was regarding a chemical scent I started perceiving after the first use, but then again, this is the first mask I have used so I am not sure if all masks have such odors. I did sweat a lot after an hour ride on my bicycle so I am not sure if the moisture caused some reaction that exacerbated the scents of the different materials of the mask. It did not smell like bad breath or a dirty worn hat; it is definitely chemical from the materials in the filter I think. In conclusion, if the mask had a better fit, I would have felt a lot happier. Instead, I think there was a lot of air sneaking in unfiltered under my chin, especially when I was breathing a little harder. I even tried to wear it upside down but it did not work. So, for now, I will continue to wear the strap high up on the back of my head attached to my cap or beanie while I decide on purchasing a different brand.

Go Respro. The Real deal
I’ve been wearing these type of replaceable filter dust masks while road cycling for about a year and half. Decided to try out an official Respro now that they’re available on Amazon. There’s definitely a appreciable quality difference from the knock offs. Most noticeably the quality of the filter. The respro filter is much softer, almost pillowy, with little or none of the rough scratchy edges common on the knock off filters. The edges of mask itself are also much smoother than the knock off versions and more comfortable against my skin. This is the first dust mask I’ve used that doesn’t have ear loops and I thought that might be a problem. But I find the no-ear-loop style stays in place, not sliding down my nose at all. Overall and excellent mask for comfort and breathability especially when doing extended periods of high intensity cardio exercise.I don’t think respro is claiming these are anti fog masks but I’ll just say that you can plan on plenty of fog and fidgeting with your glasses just like with 99.9% of the masks on the market. For a anti fog (though a much less breathable filter so I don’t recommend for cardio workouts) try the Oakley MSK3 mask which is the only true anti fog mask I’ve come across so far.

great for air pollution and pollen!
I have been using Respro for over 20+ years for guarding against pollen yearly and when traveling to polluted cities. On the airplanes too, since dust is flying in circulated air (saving me from allergies on board). I used many neoprene models like the City, Techno, Sportsta. So, I wanted to try this new design. The material feels more sturdy than neoprene and the velcro tapes are stronger. The whole thing looks upgraded and well made. Feel less hot on the face. It includes a velcro extension strip too.One more thing. The seller AllergyPro is very honest. I received the wrong color and asked for an exchange. I got a refund for price difference also, since they reduced the price during the exchange.

Great Fit.
I have not worn it yet but the fit is good. I went to the Respro site and completed their fit questionnaire asking you to measure your face and head in particular ways. They also ask for your weight, sex, etc. I did that and got a response their next business day recommending a size. They are an English company and their website offers many more choices and accessories. I bought a couple of things including a clip on strap to secure the fit higher up on your head. I did not need their insert which will snug up the mask if it's too big for you. My mask fits fine, but I bought the straps in case I needed to adjust the fit. I'm leaving soon and had no time to do exchanges if I had a fit problem. They ship for free and I got the package in about 4-5 days delivered by the USPS. I am a slim women with a 22" head circumference. The medium fit great. Some may need to extend the Velcro strap which looks possible by buying some extra length of Velcro.

Close, but no cigar!
Unlike well-made N95 masks with at least 2 straps to distribute the load on the head and neck, this mask only anchors over the neck and serves to strain the musculoskeletal system of the neck. If this is re-engineered, the mask would be more functional. As for the mask, it allows roughly 85% CO2 for O2 exchange with exercise. There doesn't appear to be a mask on the market that filters well while allowing for vigorous exercise (roughly < 75% of VO2 Max), without compromising this delicate physiological process to occur.

Fully functional mask/seller sucks
I ordered a medium thinking this would suffice the size of my face. Upon receiving this item, I realized it was a tiny bit tight for me. I messaged the seller to see if I could exchange for a different size. The message back to me is, "I checked over your order and see that you did order a Medium so the mask we sent was the correct one."Amazonusually will exchange without hassle. But if you're going to purchase this product make sure you know the exact size.Besides, at this point they really only have one size of the black mask. If I wanted a large, I would have to go for the olive color.

As the cheaper masks absolutely a pain to wear
So the mask arrived yesterday and this morning I had a chance to try it for the first time.I commute in London every day with my bicycle 20 minutes to go to my studio and 20 mins to come back. 15 mins over 20 are inside heavy traffic.I've already tried several masks, from the cheap version on amazon to the more "pro" version like this one and Totobobo. After losing my Totobobo mask I decided to try Respro.I'm absolutely disappointed by this mask, this is the most expensive mask you can find around, I was really looking for something that could let me breathing and protect me at the same time from pollution. The mask is comfortable at a first test, but as many other mask of this kind when you close the strap behind your neck the natural position of the mask tend to slide down in your face and, absolutely annoying, it tend to put weight on top of your nose pulling it down. The result is it became very difficult to use your nose to breath, and you start using your mouth, absolutely not cool as the nose has his natural filtering properties anyway...Second bad point probably the worst, your breath become fire into this mask, when you breath out it just feel like you are wearing a winter jacket in your face, I've no idea why it is so hot I've never had this problem with a Totobobo mask...Hot too hot, and I'm not an easy complainer person, but today I had to remove the mask at a traffic light as I was literally burning...So conclusion is, for me this mask just doesn't do the job, until now the only mask that really worked for me is the Totobobo, even if it looks absolutely terrible and when on the road people look at you as you are coming out from MadMax movie. With Totobobo I felt almost like not wearing a mask, easy to breath, so I will consider buy it again soon. What can I do...

Very good, but fails on two important things
So first of, its a very nice Mask and the quality, air vents, filter is all good.Where I have am having issues it with the sizing of the mask and the "strap" over the nose.1: Size, In everything else i am a medium so i ordered a medium, but its to small :(2: The "nose" strap that is there to help it keep sealed over the nose is NOT metal as it give impression off. Ifs just plastic and i can not use it at all to close the small gap i get when putting this mask on. So when breathing it leaks there. Not nice, as when breathing out, air escapes via gap by nose and steams up my glasses.

Filters well but painfully uncomfortable
I liked the filter as it noticeably blocked out fragrances and air pollution. It was also easier to breathe in and out because of having two valves on either side. The only (big) problem is that mask itself was uncomfortable to wear: it was very painful on my nose and the strap closing around the nape of the neck restricted my head motion and gave me a headache. Too bad as I really wanted to like it.I have found a much better fit with the airium mask which was considerably lighter and comfortable, whilst still offering the same protection.

Fit isn’t great
This mask looks great but just doesn’t fit quite right. I’ve tried the medium and large and neither is right. I went with medium in the end. Ideally the nose grip would be higher. The mask slips down and stops me being able to breath through my nose.If the fastening at the back was designed differently it would hold the mask up. The mask also doesn’t then seal around my chin properly. It just feels like it’s not a good design fit for the money.
