I am a naturally cold person, and have lived with this for quite a long time - without much knowledge of what existed beyond hot water bottles and fluffy dressing gowns. I had never liked the idea of an electric blanket - and then this was recommended to me. It has been transformational in terms of my freezing cold hands and feet, and has made such a difference to my life in terms of comfort and cosiness and, in the pandemic situation when living alone, mental wellbeing as well. The blanket is exceptionally soft, and yes it is heated by wire like mechanisms within but they aren't noticeable when resting it on the lap. It warms up quickly - the High setting is very warm, borderline hot, which automatically switches to low after an hour. The next highest temperature setting is 7 which is comfortably warm for me, and the blanket can be on for a nine hours without you changing any of the settings. It is possible to reset this though. The power source connects to the blanket which means it can be removed, and the blanket then washed, although I have not had to do this yet in four months of ownership. It has been on every day more or less, and has not shown any signs of wear, and has never become unbearably hot. I am really pleased with this purchase, and fully recommend it to those who are cold, but do not want something to use in bed - this is perfect for sitting at the desk all day working, or curling up with on the sofa.

Warms up fast, and cuts off when it gets too hot even if it’s before the timer is finished which can be annoying but I wouldn’t definitely prefer it to cut off than stay on and cause a fire. I’ve washed it a few times and it’s still functions like new and the stitching appears to last. The options on the remote are great too, can choose the temperature and how long you want it on for so if you do fall asleep you’re safe in the knowledge that it will be okay. It’s lovely and warm even when turned off and the blanket is very soft.

This review is written more than a year of using it. About 4 months after using it, the cord to the controller was damaged somehow by someone in the house. I contacted the seller and the controller was changed. Let me put it out here, during the first 4 months of using it. So many times I discovered that when the blanket is not laid out properly when plugged in it gets really hot and one time I discovered it was turning red like it wants to caught fire. But after getting the new controller I discovered that I don't have that issue. If for instance my kids put it on the highest heat level which is 10 and just leave it roughly, the controller automatically reduce the heat level to 2, there by reducing it from overheating.... After buying my first heated throw last year I now consider them to be an essential item. I suffer from a debilitating pain condition and the heat from this blanket really helps. Even on the days when the pain is not bad, the family joke is that I still like my blanket for the ‘comfort value’ because there is something really comforting about it. My first blanket developed a fault and the customer service from that company was quite frankly appalling, so I thoroughly researched buying a new blanket to try and ensure I would not have the same problem and experience again. I knew that I wanted something that was a dark grey colour, a large/extra large size, something that was machine washable and had many positive Amazon reviews. This blanket ticked all those boxes and, although it was slightly more than I originally wanted to pay, I ordered it. The blanket has nine heat settings and a timer so you can pick what you want to suit your needs. The material is a nice, deep grey colour and lovely and soft. Even on a warmer day the blanket is a really nice cover, even when switched off. When switched on it warms up quite quickly and has a lovely comforting heat. I washed the blanket before use and found it stayed just as soft as before. I am more than pleased with this blanket. It really does make a big difference to my life and I am hoping it keeps working for a long time. It really is a five star product but as it was quite expensive I have to knock off one star. So this is a four star product but definitely five stars in terms of comfort and ease of use,

So far, this is so effective as a throw, I've not even had to turn it on! Clearly, I checked it on arrival and it worked, taking only 2 or 3 minutes to become toasty warm, even on setting #1. It appears to be really well made. Personally, I would not use it when sleeping, a rule that I applied, back when I used electric blankets.

I bought one of these throws for myself and it was wonderful but failed within a couple of weeks. I sent it back and was refunded. Because the reviews were so good I thought I'd buy one for my daughter's birthday. I thought I was buying through Amazon but I wasn't, it was through Cosihome itself. My daughter opened it for her birthday and it doesn't work at all and now we have found out that I have to pay for the return which I think is outrageous if it doesn't work. When I ordered my daughter's throw I ordered another one for myself a couple of days later, thankfully through Amazon. This didn't work either but at least I have been refunded. I think Cosihome are a terrible company despite what the reviews say. Three ordered by one person and every one having to be returned is really poor. I am particularly upset at having to pay for the return, especially as I cannot send it back myself as I live in a different county to my daughter. She isn't well and will have to take it somewhere herself to send it back. I wouldn't recommend these throws to anyone but I would say only buy whatever you want through Amazon as at least their returns are free if the item is not fit for purpose. This is an update - I am still waiting to be refunded for the throw I bought from Cosihome for my daughter's birthday. I am assuming had I bought it from Amazon I would have been refunded by now.

This is brilliant, saves me a lot of electricity trying to warm my lounge up, I drape it over the back and sides of my armchair and turn it on whenever I feel chilly rather than turn the heating in, so cheap to use yet it makes me feel real warm and cosy 🤗

Bought this when the temp really dropped at the beginning of December. Almost bought one (not the same brand) from CostCo back in September for a fraction of the price, but didn’t. Anyway, took the hit and bought this one. Everywhere was sold out, so it did limit my choice somewhat. However, I wanted a heated throw and that is what I have. Works like a dream. The ‘Warm Up’ mode is quick and in not time the throw is lovely and warm. This lasts for one hour, then will shut off, but by then you will have turned it down. I use it in the day, but have stopped taking it to bed as it is just too warm. Regarding costs. It’s 120w so the Electricity cost will dictate the daily running costs, however I had it on for over 10 hours yesterday and didn’t notice my Smart Meter going off like a rocket! Early days so how long it lasts I can’t comment on but, so far, so good!

Only worked for 1 month. Waste of money
