SAKI Large Porcelain Teapot, 48 Ounce Tea Pot with Infuser, Loose Leaf and Blooming Tea Pot - Black

I love this tea pot. It holds a decent amount of tea and is wonderful to use when entertaining. It comes in a variety of colors and pours well.

I am very happy with this teapot and the seller--he reached out to me, asking how the teapot is working for me. Well, Josh at SAKI, it is working out great! I am extremely happy with it. It came in its own box nestled in 2 foam cutouts, so there is no danger of breakage in transit. The stainless steel strainer is extremely fine so that only tea leaf "dust" can get through it, but not any leaves. There is a little slit in the top of the teapot to accommodate the little handle on the strainer. I find that with loose rooibos leaves, it holds 5 cups of water without overfilling it. For me, it is the perfect size to make 1 quart (or liter) of iced rooibos. While the 5 cups of water are heating, I add about 3/4 - 1 cup of water to a 4-cup measure and add ice cubes to the 3-cup line; I pour this into an iced tea dispenser. Once the tea has finished steeping, I pour it into the dispenser. I allow a little time for the leaves to drain into the teapot and add this to the dispenser. Refrigerated, the tea gets cold in no time! In my old teapot, I had to make 2 batches for 1 quart of iced tea. In the SAKI, I can do it in 1 batch. I really like this teapot. Update: I am still really liking this teapot. The spout does not drip onto the counter after pouring. There is an indentation on the inside just under the spout; in it, tiny rooibos remnants collect and prevents them from pouring out with the tea. A lot of thought went into this teapot's excellent design.

This teapot is wonderful! It's durable and large really good quality for both the teapot and the infuser, and it is beautiful to look at! I got the black one! ☺️

I’ve been using this teapot for a few weeks now and I really love it! I have tea with breakfast and after work everyday so it has gotten enough use to make any problems appear quickly…and so far none have. The pot was shipped quickly by Amazon and was not in a shipping box but only in the box which would be on a store shelf, so I was very concerned that it was going to be broken. However, this little pot was very securely packaged in styrofoam was was in perfect condition. The pot holds more than 40 ounce of water. I know this because I fill a large measuring cup with 40 ounces of filtered water to use in my tea kettle and once boiled this amount will fill the teapot just under the top of the infuser basket. Since the teapot is made of a heavy ceramic or porcelain it keeps things hot long enough to enjoy a couple of cups; covering it with a small kitchen towel should help it retain heat longer if needed. The infuser basket itself is all stainless steel and will hold a very large amount of loose tea leaves. The basket has very tiny holes in it so I’ve never had any tea leaves pour out into my cup when serving. I do notice some very fine particles from my tea in the very bottom of the pot but this is after serving 2 generous cups of tea to 2 people. Also, there is a little slot in the infuser basket which allows the tab of the teapot’s lid to slide in and seat the lid fully on the pot (I actually didn’t notice this for a few days). As far as cleaning is concerned, I only washed the teapot with soapy dishwater after taking it out of the box. I rinse the pot, infuser basket and lid with very hot water and dry everything after each use; I’ve learned that if you allow the tea to stain the inside of the pot it will make your tea taste better. I’m very happy that I purchased this for myself and would happily give it as a gift.

This teapot is beautiful - color , shape and love the way it is designed. It is heavier than I expected so not sure how easy it is going to be for me to pour it after steeping morning tea but will probably only fill it partway for safety's sake. Also, the infuser has quite a sharp lip around it so will have to be careful with that. Other than that I love it so far and look forward to using it - just got it washed so will use it in the morning.

This is my first teapot and I believe it to be perfect for that. I've been using a Gaiwan to brew and decided it was time for me to try a full sized teapot. It's a great teapot for the price. It's large, attractive, and the included strainer is a very fine mesh so it can even be used with cheaper loose leaf teas without getting bits in your brew. The spout doesn't dribble and the lid stays put. It keeps the tea warm for a decent amount of time. Paired with a temperature control kettle this is really all you need to start brewing excellent tea at home. I use a small brush, like the kind used to clean straws, to get any pieces caught in the strainer and it works perfectly. I think this is a lovely inexpensive teapot that I will keep using for years to come.

I accidentally shattered my fiancé’s glass teapot and needed a new version. I liked the capacity of this and gave it a shot. He exclaimed that it is the “ideal of all teapots!” It really is a beautiful little thing. I think the capacity is slightly less than the 48oz advertised, but we find it to drip very little if at all. It keeps track very hot for long periods of time, and it cleans up well. The infuser/strainer is completely stainless steel, not part plastic, and the lid fits neatly and securely into a space cut out for it. We have had no major issues with smaller tea leaves escaping when we use loose leaf, though a few of the smallest might find their way into your cup, though it’s hardly a bother to me. I do find it a bit heavy even when unfilled, as expected from porcelain and compared to our previous glass teapot (though not nearly as heavy as our cast iron one!), but overall this is a lovely, functional teapot we use nearly daily and that we hope to have for a long time to come. ~ S.

Compré esta tetera para sustituir otra muy parecida y resultó mejor que la mía original –la cual se fue al suelo y se rompió en mil pedazos. Esta tiene una cerámica muy agradable, un lindo diseño y, sobre todo, tiene una capacidad como de un litro y medio, suficiente para beber té todo el día. Además de mis dos tazas del desayuno me rinde suficiente para llenar un termo mediano del que bebo té todo el resto del día. ¡Estoy muy complacida con mi compra!!
