Did your vials come with thick white liquid?

I wouldn’t call it thick, but it is definitely not as thin as other brands of preservative-free solution.

Is the preservative free version available in a bottle instead of this wastefully packaged ridiculousness?

As far as I know, the only manufacturer that makes a preservative free bottle is Refresh Relieva PF. All other preservative free eye drops come in the single use packaging.

Can you use one vial for both eyes?

It is not a matter of how much is in the vial. Yes you can use 1 vial for both eyes. However, advice stating that you can put the cap back on (eve if refrigerated) is inappropriate. Single use vials are the best because they reduce the risk of contamination causing infections. Additionally, multi use bottles contain preservatives which when used 1 or more times a day are not good for the eyes either. Take good care of your eyes be sure get medicine/medical advice from your opthomologist/MD or nurse practitioner rather than random people on Amazon. Also you can contact any of the manufacturers about the reasons for not recapping.

Is this product Lanolin Free?

I checked out the box. Lanolin is not listed as an ingredient. Mineral Oil is the only one listed.
