Old battery will self ignite under the right circumstances. Be ready to take appropriate action.
New battery works very well, although the old battery did catch fire while trying to remove it. Some quick thinking saved the day, but the old battery did burn for some time, even after being fully submerged in water. Be very careful not to damage old battery & use a ice cube tray to help keep all the screws, although I think they included a screw holder for the screws. Getting the screen off can be a bit tricky too. Probably would not recommend someone attempt this that hasn't practiced the techniques used to disassemble the iPhone. There's a more than good chance your journey ends while removing the screen if you haven't done this before. Practice on a older phone first.. heat is your friend to get the adhesive to loosen.

Don’t waste your money
I ordered this kit for my iPhone 12. I’ll give the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: The battery is working, was fairly easy to install once I was able to get the front glass off, which proved to be almost impossible with their suction cup. The Bad : -the tool kit they send, just go ahead and throw it out. When you’re ordering this kit find a nice phone repair tool kit. 2 of the 3 screwdrivers weren’t molded right and wouldn’t fit the screws and the other one fell apart (detached from the handle) as soon as we tried to use it. -the instructions were awful, throw those out too and find a good YouTube video The Ugly : To make this kit work, you will need another set of tools, another set of instructions, and a heat gun. While the battery does function (so far) I’d suggest you spend another $20 and get a better quality kit.
