Due to the double layers, the kit is able to contain taller bottles securely. The section in the lid is excellent for pencils or smaller brushes, etc. I highly recommend this kit!

Cheaply Made - Falls Apart
I bought this to store my nail polish in and it was perfect for that. Fast forward 3 months and the top is being torn away from the body, exposing the cardboard. I anticipate the entire top will fall off one of these times I open it. The top has a storage compartment where I keep cotton balls (not exactly heavy) and I don’t keave the top opened for extended periods of time, which would put stress where it’s breaking.I would NEVER buy this product again and I absolutely do NOT recommend it. If I could return it I would in a second.
