Great Resource
I purchased this book for a class. It is a great resource for challenging my advanced learners. It includes rubrics and lesson ideas to assist with differentiating instruction so that all students can learn.

Rental
Renting books in the kindle app overall is a wonderful experience! You get the book instantly and then it'll "return" when the time is up! This book was very helpful in helping me understand how curriculum designers come up with a curriculum in general and some ideas of how to help gifted students.

Overcomplicated
First, let me say that I did not choose this book on my own. I had to read it for a class. While the book has many great ideas, and I do think I learned a lot, I learned more from the class than I did from the book itself. I think a lot of what it teaches could have been said in a more succinct, and more user-friendly manner. I had read in other reviews that the reading was painful, and thought I would think differently, but I have to say that I agree. It seems to take forever to get through a chapter. Sometimes the language seems superfluous and the ideas were repetitive. The parallel curriculum model is great. This book just over-complicates it a bit.
