Why do stores carry the original bubble yum gum with sugar and sandy texture, but discontinue selling the smooth sugarless bubble yum ?

I suspect that the better textured sugarless variety has been discontinued from Hershey's along with the even better sugarless peppermint bubble yum. Many candy dealers no longer offer either of the sugarless varieties. Sources you find now are probably selling what is left.

Great gum

Taste is great, but it lasts for a few minutes. I'm not sure if it was like this when I was a kid, but you have a few minutes to relive your childhood with this gum. It's worth it though. You'll have a few more minutes to enjoy chewing and blowing bubbles, but the gum will turn on you like a bad friend. I have to find a trash can or open window to spit it out. The package comes with 12 packs of 10 pieces of gum so you'll have plenty left over. The box weighs almost as much as a brick. It's worth the purchase. The classic original flavor is great, but I wish that they made grape just like back in the day.

Been chewing this brand for decades. Disappointed a few years back when Hershey's discontinued sugarless. And I'm paying for it now with cavities. Plus when I had called Hershey customer service and asked about SF bubble yum. She said she would send me some coupons since I have been a customer for decades. And never sent me anything.
