So to start off, this 3D general FDE polylite PLA pro is pretty amazing and I’m about to buy my 3rd&4th rolls. Dimensional accuracy is slightly better than .05mm where I checked but I didn’t take pictures of my gauge and only checked twice during 1 long (34hr) print about halfway through the roll. It’s got great properties all around, including both impact resistance and rigidity. It’s flexible but still very stiff. I haven’t tested the heat resistance, although it’s not something I’m terribly worried about. It’s super easy to print with and it prints really well with great layer adhesion, some slight warping on steep overhangs and really thin areas if you don’t use fans. I used 30-50% fans and printed relatively slow for anything too crazy and was virtually warp-free. I probably could’ve printed faster tbh but I prefer quality over speed. (The brace and hand stop were printed on an sv06 using the default prusaslicer speed settings with default dynamic overhang speeds and fan at 40% bridges at 100% and they printed perfectly. The only time I had any stringing at all was about a week into using the roll without drying it. I dried it for 6hrs at 55°c in a sunlu dryer box and it was good to go again. So I do recommend keeping it dry or drying it periodically, as it shows more hydrophilic tendencies or symptoms than other PLA plus filaments I’ve used. It has an incredibly awesome matte/flat finish that’s really hard to get with most other PLA plus filaments (that’s probably my favorite feature of this filament tbh), and the color is really great although it’s more of a desert tan than FDE in my opinion. I guess desert tan could be considered a shade of fde these days with how many different shades there are lol but it’s fairly light. All in all it’s absolutely awesome and I’ve almost completely switched over from eSun (except for a couple amazing colors that eSun does best like the olive green *chef’s kiss* and their grey is awesome too). Still giving 5 stars even tho I wish the color was more of a true FDE. Can’t beat the printability or material properties. And that matte finish tho 🤌👌

hab es gekauft weil ich ein Fan von GeneralPrint bin. Die Farbe ist schön gleichmässig. Es haftet sehr gut am Printbett & lässt sich einfach wieder lösen. Leider kann ich nicht testen wie rohbust es wirklich ist. meine Wandhaken für meine Weste hängen immer als ein Stück (keine De-Laminierung) man sollte trossdem nicht nur auf das Material setzen

I’ve had mixed results with Polymaker PLA Pro. On the positive side, the filament is consistently wound, feeds smoothly through the printer, and generally produces good surface quality when the settings are dialed in. Layer adhesion is decent, and it tends to be more durable than standard PLA, making it a reasonable choice for functional prints. However, I found it less forgiving than expected. It can be sensitive to temperature and cooling settings, and achieving optimal results often requires more tuning than some competing premium PLA products. I also experienced occasional stringing and inconsistent performance between colors, which was disappointing considering the higher price point. Overall, Polymaker PLA Pro is a capable filament that can produce quality prints, but the performance didn’t consistently justify the premium cost. It’s a solid option, but there are other PLA and PLA+ filaments available that offer similar or better results with less effort.

very strong and looks great. i have tested its durability after i 3d printed a custom mlock handguard for my airsoft gun and it is very sturdy.
