How is it different from the Terminator comb?

I don't know. I never tried the terminator comb.

Can the handle withstand boiling? The description mentions only the metal tines, but the handle is the main concern; it looks like plastic.

The handle is plastic but pretty sturdy plastic, you should be able to boil it with out and trouble, I just wouldn't leave it in the boiling water to long.
