Product is exactly what I ordered and is good quality however the product was left on front doorstep despite instruction to the contrary and a note on the door explaining where to leave parcels. The quality of the lamp holder is sturdy and good value. I notice in the one star reviews that people say that they can't unscrew the base and that it's jammed - that's because the shade ring is right next to the fastening ring and is acting as a locking nut. You just need to loosen the shade ring and you'll find the lamp holder will become easy to disassemble by holding the body firmly and turning the bottom fixing ring clockwise to unscrew.

it's fine. Reasonable quality, has an earth point as it's metal, 10m female bottom - oh oerr matron. all good.

I restored this beautiful old table lamp using this product. The bronze fitting is period perfect and the lamp is now in a safe condition for daily use. I couldn’t be happier with the result.

Bought this to replace an oem item that had seized up and couldn't be removed intact. New lampshade sat waiting. Ordered 26th December and arrived one day later. Amazing delivery service from Amazon which is just as well because none of my local DIY stores had a replacement in stock. Easily fitted and the holder even had a small grub screw for an undersized screw fitting. All done, new lampshade fitted and a happy wife 😂😂😂

So often these days, products come with no instructions; if they do, they are frequently sketchy to the point of being useless. Nice weight better than I thought it would be actually looks old so would have been great as fitting in a old standard lamp.Unfortunately the screw threads on the unit were not the right size. I can not see the thread size mentioned so going to be always bit hit or miss. I should mark it down but am prepared to try and make it fit as like the look of it.
