Very fresh, great value!
I’m never sure of what to expect when I order food items that may have sat in a warehouse for an extended period of time, but I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and flavorful this dried mint is! 2 ounces is a lot more than you’d expect given how light dried herbs are, and I’ve already been enjoying it stirred into some of my favorite beverages. Steeped in a cup of boiling hot water, it even makes a fantastic herbal tea! Sadaf has been a leader in providing Middle Eastern ingredients since the early 1980’s and it shows. You know you’re getting top quality right from the source, and this dried mint was no exception. I’ll definitely be back for more when my supply runs short!

Good Quality Dried Mint
I live too far away from any ethnic food store, so usually rely upon Amazon (+free shipping) for my ethnic foods - Sadaf is the least expensive mint leaves you can get, and I'm very familiar with the degree of quality Sadaf offers (not premium, but better than Badia) The leaves have a strong minty aroma, I can detect spearmint in the mix, and do make quite a decent cup of Dried Mint tea - fresh mint is always superior to dried, but it grows only in the summer months where I presently live - the best thing to do is grow & dry your own, but last summer did not see any mint planted in my garden Dried mint can be kept fresher longer if stored in a cool, dry place, like your basement - you can also use the refrigerator While the mint does have some spearmint in it, but is not 100% spearmint, peppermint + spearmint is the most common blend used here in the States As a note of information, 'quality' in packaged foods such as spices & herbs is determined solely by how old the picked & dried spice is, there is no other factor involved - the older (longer storaged) the food, the more it loses its flavour, the more dried out it gets, the darker it becomes - you as a customer pay a premium for dried foods and packaged foods (spices, grains, teas, coffee, oils) that have not been storaged for too long a period of time ("better quality!") HOW TO BREW DRIED MINT FOR TEA Allow water to heat to only just only barely beginning to boil (90°-95°, then add your mint leaves, leave on top and do not stir in, the leaves will soften & release their flavour into the hot water, then stir once or twice & strain them out - this leaves fresh mintiness instead of a cooked mint flavour - this is also the same method for brewing dried flower tea, using only barely boiling water & steeping only very slightly, more of a brief dipping rather than a prolonged steeping

Just s good as fresh mint.
I use these mint leaves in recipes all the time. Much better value than the fresh ones. Easy to rehydrate. Great taste and smell. Just like fresh mint. Easy to use when cooking and in recipes.

Great flavor and price
I have used this brand before and very good for the price. Comes in bag so you will need to put on container to store properly. You get a lot for your money. Can be used in many dishes from around the world. Cut very nice to blend in well. Flavorful.

Perfect!
This is flavourful and fragrant mint. Great for any dish you would use fresh mint. Sometimes I use fresh mint and in the winter I often use dried parsley and dried mint instead of fresh. I used this product for my Moroccan salad and it was excellent. Highly recommend. Will continue to purchase.

Mint
For some reason it’s been difficult to find mint spice. The last one I did find had more stems than mint. This brand is aromatic and flavourful……and no stems. I was not familiar with this brand but I am more than pleased with it and will be looking for more varieties of their spices.
