Best EDC pen
This was bought as a replacement for the Lamy Pico I have carried every day for the last fifteen years. I only replaced it because the spring mechanism finally wore out.

The World's best Pocket/purse Pen
The best Pocket and Purse pen ever designed - The tip is hidden until you push the end and it expands to fit your hand. I have used one for years and have given them as gifts - everybopdy loves them.

Great for travel
I’ve loved this company and pen style for many years, and I recently got this as a gift for a writing friend. Still the great quality I remember, and my friend loves it, too! My favorite travel and out-and-about pen.

functional, attractive, fun... but the ink cartridge isn't great and there are a few other quirks.
the good: good feel, I like the color and the texture of the body. It appears to be a durable matte hard anodizing almost like a fine powder coat in texture. The color is rich and dark in a good way. I am "colorblind" so take this for what it's worth (not much) the blue is a nice deep dark blue that almost appears purple to my eyes. The action is fun and interesting. a nice departure from the pull open telescoping pens like the fisher, zebra, rotring esprit, tombow pixie, etc... The anti roll knob is a nice touch and is well done. the bad: I wish the deployment action were more tactile and positive. There is no click or tactile bump when you have pushed the action in far enough to actuate it and you have to push the plunger ALL the way in.. So that took a few presses to get right initially. It is a relatively long action to deploy. The entire mechanism appears to be made from the soft black plastic that you see exposed in the photos. I can't say that in itself is bad, but just something to note and that contributes to the relatively mushy actuation. I do not like the ink cartridge... but I also absolutely hate fisher space pen cartridges, Parker cartridges are ok, but I don't like this lamy cartridge either. That being said, I don't particularly enjoy any ballpoint pen (my favorite of the most common BP refills are probably the pilot G2 style) I am more of a fountain pen and mechanical pencil guy. Lastly, if you stick this pen in your pocket it is with 100% certainty that at some point the plunger will be pushed at least part way in and the tip will be exposed in your pocket. The tip is just BARELY recessed when the pen is in the closed/stowed position so any minor press will expose the tip. It would have been nice if they added a 1/4 turn lockout feature to prevent accidental deployment... like the rotring esprit has only in the reverse direction. Overall: It's a fun little pen for a dorky pen/pencil collectors and gadget guys like me, but if I were looking for the most practical and useful every day pocket pen this would not be my choice.

Four Stars
Really nice pen. Writes well, just wish it had a little more weight to it. Overall, great buy.

Wow!
Opened the box and saw this tiny pen. Started feeling buyer's remorse until I clicked the top button. Full size with an amazing balance! This imperial blue gem is now with me at all times. Well done Lamy design team!
