Hi, there is a transparent package, it may be natural / biodegradable but I really don't know and didn't checked packaging material yet.

Is this soap cruelty free?

the technique in the middle east is to take the oil and heat it up then spread it over a special cut out stone floor for it to cool and solidifies. it is then cut up and packed up. My understanding is that this goes back hundreds of years. So as to cruelty - seeing all the product is plant based and is an ancient practice, I cannot see where any cruelty comes into it. When we were in Aleppo, Syria 11 years ago in happier times we visited a small tradition soap 'factory' that was a family run business that went back hundreds of years and the process was unchanged.
