I would use 8 ounces per gallon of water. But there is another solution that will work even better for you. Go out and buy the cheapest laundry detergent you can find, I go to Costco and buy the 28 lb tub of powdered detergent. Put that on your roof in strips about 8 feet apart. As soon as it rains your moss problem has been resolved!

Once sprayed, does moss fall off by itself?

Once sprayed, the moss takes several days or weeks to die, and then shrinks down. You could try brushing it off your roof, but I can't get on my roof, and I let it shrink down to minimal size. I like this moss killer.
