does this stay on the waterline

I found that it melted off my waterline and finished up coating my contact lenses. One that really does stay on my water line is the Nyx version.

Hi can someone reccommend a sharpener for this product please? Ive heard amazing reviews on this item. The only downfall is its difficult to sharpen.
