Lava 7-inch Screen Portable DVD Player with Fox Family Movie Bundle (Fantastic Mr Fox, Ice Age 4, Rio, Epic)

This was bought for my 2 year old grandson. He loves it. Not only for use indoors but invaluable on a long car journey. It is compact with being stored its own carry case, which unfolds and hangs from the back of the seat in front. The sound quality is excellent too. It was a very good price and arrived quickly.

The DVD players are great for out family trips. The sound is good in our diesal car which can have engine noise. We have 5 kids. The little ones watch their DVD with head phones in the back and the other 3 can listen to their DVD in the middle row with no head phones. All are happy for a few hours then the battery runs out. As the main player can be used using the lithium battery and the second screen off the mains it means that only one DVD can be watched before the battery power runs out. However this was not a major issue as the kids just plugger the main player into the car charger and shared the one screen for a while. Also the lithium battery has to be charged in the house prior to making a journey. As long as this is all planned out and your organised this is not an issue. If only one screen is used at a time the player can be plugger directly into the car without charging the battery. The kids also liked used the DVD in their rooms a their grandparents house. Good enough product for the money spent.

It is nice product. The problem I have is that the speaker volume is too low even when it's set to maximum. During car ride it's almost impossible to hear the sound.

Good value for money. Not watched the dvd's yet but the player has good picture, adequate sound & doesn't jump at all. Does the trick on a long car journey - was plugged in so not tested the battery yet. Would buy again though.

Not impressed with this DVD player. I bought it for my 3yr old for a 4 hour flight to Tenerife. It stated the battery had a life of 4 or more hours continuous play. It did not last 2 hours. Would not recommend .

Giving 5 stars as these sets look lovely bought 2 for my son's the fact that they open flat is the reason I bought these ones as my special needs son broke his last one by opening it too much will have 2 happy boys ok christmas

So, keys start with the build quality, it's a solid bit of kit, quite well put together, hinges are stiff, plastic is solid. I had no qualms about having this to a seven year old and it's survived the first few weeks well. The design is good, all the buttons are in sensible places, the menu makes sense and said deb year old didn't need showing how to use it. The the built in reachable battery is more than enough for a film, and since it comes with both mains and car chargers there's no power issues and no need to buy hundreds of triple A's The only thing the just nudged it off five *'s I'd the playback of digital files. It works but the only format I could make work was Divx encoded Avi files. It played them perfectly, everything else it just ignored. Really nice dvd player enough in the box to ensure no ones disappointed, and does what it says on the tin.
