A good battery
It was a good battery. However I had gotten it by mistake. It fit well into my laptop and it was reasonably priced for a main battery. If you're looking for battery one or battery two, this is battery 1. As for functionality... It worked as intended when I tested it out. A solid battery when you need one

Just what your T460s or T470s probably needs by now
The ThinkPad T460s and T470s have two batteries inside. Both are internal, and require removing the bottom cover of the laptop to replace, but they're pretty easy to swap. These systems are pretty old by now and the official Lenovo batteries are no longer available, so you have to look at third party replacements. Some of those third party batteries have Lenovo markings on them (this one does not), but they are fake. If you'd like to get a bit more use out of one of these workhorse laptops, installing one of these is a step toward having a system with decent battery life. To get all the way there you'll also need to replace the other battery. To assess the condition of your laptop's battery on Windows, open a command prompt (or terminal or PowerShell) and type powercfg /batteryreport. That puts a file named battery-report.html in the current directory, which is likely to be your home directory. Open that with a web browser to see how your batteries are doing.

Good replacement battery
It seems to be a good replacement but there are a couple of minor issues. The label isn't stuck completely on the battery when I opened the box. The original battery has a sticker over the connector to more easily disconnect that the new battery doesn't have. Not really an issue as it's easy to disconnect w/o it but something to mention. Installation went w/o issue and fit perfectly. It came with various drivers (3 torx and a flathead) and a plastic pick to help installation. The main reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is because in the Lenovo software, it failed to calibrate the battery. The original battery has a serial number that shows up in the software but this battery just shows up as a generic "12345678AB". It does show up with the correct WH and recharge count though and seems to work fine otherwise. My original battery only had ~50% capacity so this is definitely an improvement.
