I enjoy my fitness, and have several options for my workouts - two of which include full locker room and hot showers. So I've been looking (and buying, and buying) different flip-flops and slides trying to find something that keeps my feet away from standing water (I am susceptible to athlete's foot) and dries nearly instantaneously so I can shove them back into my gym bag and go. I thought I found the ones with a dorky-looking pair that were made out of the same material as these, were a powder blue color and had holes in the bottom (by design). On the surface it seemed like a good idea, water drains out quickly, etc. but turned out to be a horrible idea I didn't think through well. Step into a shower and standing water comes UP through the holes as well, so if the point is protection in a public shower they were an epic failure. As the "nail in the coffin" their biggest size was still tight on my size 12 feet. These are made out of the same material; squishy, comfortable, non-absorbent. There are no crevices are seams to hold water, and no absorbent cloth-like material on the underside of the strap (like most slides have) to absorb water. No holes in the bottom, and they have a size bigger that is very comfortable or me. As an added bonus, they look much less dorky than the last pair (and slight masculine to boot), although that is merely icing on the cake for me. What's most important: after I shower and dress, I slap these on the floor a few times and they are DRY. Just like that, ready to be shoved back into the gym bag. Nothing to hold water, so they don't come back out wet (and stinky) a day or two later. The BEST gym-bag slide you can buy!

Pretty true to size, but rub on both small toes (see pic). Don't like the one wide top strap as much as the 2 split straps on my old ones, as it's much hotter. The plastic is the sticky type, if you have any foot moisture whatsoever, and are downright slippery when wet, as I found out moving a sprinkler in my back yard. I'm going to look for something else locally, that I can try on, as it's hard to find the right thing in a sandal online.

My wife found out that I wore my inside slippers outside. I slipped out onto the uncovered stoop one night, leaned over a bit and put the trash bag into the bin. I would have gotten away with it were it not for the dust I tracked in. Not a clean get away. But I had no idea until these new slippers came and my wife said "Those are your indoor only slippers." "Oh.", I thought, "She must have found out." and then it was that I saw the light reflecting on the floor and highlighting the dust I'd brought in. The slippers that carried in the dust suffered a worse fate. I've not seen them since. They were hot and jiggily on my foot. They were cloth and, well, you know how those cloth slippers are. I prefer these sandals to the old ones because they are snugger on my foot and are basically nonslip on the parts that hold the foot. A little more work getting them off at night (I have to lean over a bit to kick them off with my toes) but they don't trip me up as I'm running up and down the stairs all day. I'm very happy with these, even though I feel guilty everytime I put them on. I'll followup on durability in a few months. If I'm still allowed in the house that is.

I bought these to replace a pair of Okabashi rubber (microplast) slippers. By contrast these slippers are: 1. Cold. Extremities, especially feet, are the first to feel cold, so these slippers exacerbate one of the most uncomfortable aspects of cold weather. 2. Ugly. "Grey" looks nothing like pictured, it is much lighter, closer to what they depict as "Lt Grey". 3. Loud. When walking, air gets squeezed out from between foot and slipper, creating sounds like high-pitched farts. 4. Uncomfortable. They are shaped to wrap tightly around the foot, with raised edges as if your foot is in a bowl. My size is 10.5 W, and these are 11, so they shouldn't fit too tightly, but they do, which interferes with circulation. It is impossible to just slip one's foot out of this slipper, one has to apply pressure to break the vacuum seal between the slipper and one's skin. This vacuum seal also causes itching and sweating. Looking more closely at the questions and answers asked here, I also see this: "They do not absorb water but they are a safety hazard when wet...they get very slick and slide on your feet...you may as well be walking on a freshly mopped wet floor. I've worn these while out on a brick driveway while watering my flower pots and once they get wet, they slide and rotate on your foot so that the bottom of the shoe is facing outward on the side of your foot and you have nothing under your foot anymore...caused me to stumble and trip and nearly stump my toes....even as shower shoes too...super slick and dangerous when wet." The Okabashi slippers did not have this problem, I wore them in the shower every day. The Okabashi slippers are made in the USA. These slippers don't specify where they were made, but the product description has numerous errors of grammar and says "the front insole is relatively wider, will more match American people's foot characteristics". I know that products made in China are legally required to say so, and I assumed that this applied to all countries, not just China, and that it didn't matter whether the product is being sold on Amazon or elsewhere. Overall I'm surprised at how bad these slippers are compared to the Okabashi. I didn't realize it was possible to get this much wrong in such a straightforward product. The one way in which they are better than the Okabashi is that they are lighter and more flexible, making them easier to travel with. Not that I'd want to take these anywhere.

Drys off very fast and soft.

Worst sandals I’ve ever purchased. Don’t understand these Amazon reviews. Walking in these your foot slides backwards and off to the inside heal right of the sandal. Horrible design and they’re pretty damn hard. Not very cushiony at all and extreamly slippery when wet…considering they’re sold as “shower sandals” not sure what’s going on here. Don’t even know they’re worth 1 star.

So far so good. These slippers are very comfortable. I use them for indoor slippers. My previous pair were Crocs but they broke. I was about to buy a new pair of Crocs but decided to try these instead. I'm so glad I did as these are much cheaper and more comfortable. The big question is, how long will these last?
