Review of the show: I love this show. Started watching it some time during its first season, when it originally aired back in 90/91-ish and I was hooked. Two very different families are suddenly thrust together when their parents, Frank and Carol, spontaneously get married. And of course chaos ensues. Review of the DVD: I love that these are FINALLY being released on DVD. It's been a ridiculously long wait. This is just the DVD's of the 1st season episodes, there isn't an episode guide (I always want an episode guide, so this probably won't bother everybody) but the episode titles are on the discs, so that's at least something. I do wish there were special features, that would have been amazing but unfortunately, there is not. Hope they put the rest of the seasons out on DVD. I'll definitely be buying them if they do.

This show, like Three's Company, which introduced the talented and charming Suzanne Somers, is just plain funny. I've had a chance now to watch Season One, and I'm planning to buy the whole series when it's released on DVD. Here's why: Season One was excellent, and yet on the episode critiques I've seen it ranks below the other six seasons. Not a single episode of the 160 is rated below the average of 5.0 by the viewing public, so why wouldn't I want to purchase and watch the rest?

I was concerned that this was not a "legitimate" dvd. If it isn't, they did a great job in making it seem legit. The package is awesome, and the picture is beyond what I expected. The sound seems echoed, but I also know that this show was made years ago and technology has come so far since. Maybe it sounds off because I have a smart tv, and I am used to high quality shows of today. So quite honestly, I couldn't be happier with this set. It is such a great show, and family oriented. No nudity, no profanity that I can recall. No nagging political references nor racist remarks. Five stars!

I love this show and its characters! This blended family is unique with many different personalities trying to live together. The episodes in this series are very funny (with some heartwarming moments included). It's one of my favorite sitcoms from the 90's, and I'm so glad to see the first season released on DVD (this purchase was money well spent). I will keep an eye out to see if more seasons are released in the future (I have my fingers crossed that they will)!

One of my favorite shows, i watched this on ABC when it ran 30 years ago. Suzanne Summers and Patrick Duffy are great and there are a lot of talented younger actors in this show. Worth the money i paid for it.
