I am not one to usually leave reviews but I had to share these results for those who are skeptical. If I could give this 10 stars I would. I was very skeptical to try this Peter Thomas Roth product due to some pretty bad reviews but I'm so glad I did. I've been looking for something to use for my daughter's up coming wedding and I have definitely found it. You can literally feel your skin tightening. There is no redness or burning. There are a few little white specks that show up from time to time when applying but very easy to just gently get off with ease. It dries super fast and stays all day until you wash it off bc it does not absorb into your skin like lotion. You can gently put your makeup on over it like normal bc it is tinted and blends with ease. One thing I have noticed is once it dries, do not mess with or pull the skin in those areas or you will have to rinse it off and reapply because it will show wrinkled areas where the cream has been pulled. Also it seems the longer it's on the more annoying it feels but if you can get past that you're golden. It will stay on as long as you want it to but once you wash it off, your bags will reappear instantly. These are things I've noticed myself but tinker with it a few times to see what works best for you. It is very expensive, so I only use it on special occasions and a little goes a long way. And the brush is very helpful. I hope my review helps those who are also skeptical bc of the bad reviews. Give it a try... it's worth it.

I have been using the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx Eye Tightener for a while now, and I have very specific thoughts on how to make it work (or not work). The Pros: It Really Does Work Wonders. The effectiveness is undeniable. When applied correctly, this product visibly reduces my "11s" and dramatically smooths out my crow's feet within minutes. The temporary tightening effect is impressive—it genuinely makes you look refreshed and years younger for several hours. For a special event or a big meeting, this stuff is pure magic. It delivers on its core promise of instant results. The Cons: The glowing results come with a few notable trade-offs that prevent it from being a daily "holy grail" for me: Drying Sensation: My biggest issue is that it dries out the skin around my eyes. The instructions emphasize applying it to clean, dry skin before other products, which means you're putting this tightener directly onto bare skin without a buffer of moisturizer. This contributes significantly to the feeling of dryness. Residue Issues: If you use slightly too much, or don't blend perfectly, it can leave a white, flaky residue that looks like dry skin or dandruff. You have to use a very thin layer and sometimes dab away excess with a damp Q-tip once dry. Layering Limitations: The tightener works by forming a film. The problem is that it is not as effective if you apply anything (moisturizer, makeup, sunscreen) over it after it has dried. Layering products on top can break the film, negating the tightening effect and often causing the residue issue to be worse. Final Verdict: This is a powerful "special occasion" product, but perhaps not a daily staple due to the drying effect and the strict rules about not layering other products on top. You have to manage your expectations and perfect your application technique. For the visible results it provides, I will keep it in my skincare arsenal, but it requires commitment to the specific application method to avoid the downsides. It works well, but demands a compromise on other skincare steps.

This stuff absolutely reduces puffiness/bags under my eyes within a few minutes of applying. It has taken me several uses to find the right amount. Too little and the tightening effects aren't good/are inconsistent. Too much and I get crustiness and flakiness. The tightening effects last all day until I wash my face. While I understand the tint color was added to counteract white flaking, adding dark color under the eye area makes the appearance of dark circles worse. I can't apply liquid makeup over this, as the moisture causes it to come off (and puffiness/bags return). Applying powdered makeup over it accentuates and crusty/flakey spots. That said, I'll take the darkened undereye area over the baggy one. Having used this every day for 2 weeks now, I have some sensitivity/irritation under one eye. Applying the product in that area Burns a little and gives the appearance of a slight scab when dried.

READ THIS REVIEW IF YOURE UNSURE! I ordered this today (8/20/26) on Amazon NOW. It works as described. I do not wear makeup regularly and have a minimal skin routine. I am 41 and have minor bags and coloration. I spread a drop thin and quickly w my pinky fingertips, under and along the sides of my eyes. *Save the brush for your makeup drawer. It worked almost instantly. I had a couple tiny white spots and they were easy to brush away gently with my fingertip. Brushing away aggressively caused the product’s effectiveness to diminish. Brushing away very gently did no harm to the effect, you may even be able to brush them away gently with a clean fluffy makeup brush tbh. (I washed my face and tried twice) I like the effect this product has. The sensation it has on your skin is similar to putting on lip plumper, and I find the feeling quite nice and enjoyable. It’s a little tingly and a little tight feeling. To me, it feels nice. To others, they might not enjoy the sensation as I do. It says “temporary” right on the description. That’s what it is. It is not a miracle. But if you want a little “she looks good today but can’t put my finger on it” that’s this. The most important question is “what does 40$ mean to you?”. If this product was 10$ we would all buy it every month and be super happy about it. 40$ hurt a little. I will probably purchase this product again, I’m not sure yet. I will be searching for a solid dupe, but I’m guessing that will be difficult to find. I will update my review later to account for more uses.

I was excited when I recieved this. I applied it and it does just what they say, but the skin around my eyes felt dreid out and tight. You can not put eye cream on after applying. I did apply eye cream because I was curiouse to see what it would do and my under eye bags came right back and made a white film around my eyes. Not sure of makeup but I will try it. Not sure if I will buy it again. Dissapointed.

Works as described. I use it on my forehead, around my eyes, and feather it downward on my cheeks. It draws as it dries, and dries very quickly. Because I smile a lot, when I put it around my mouth, it quickly cracks, making the creases look worse than before. But, I'm 80. If you are younger, with no deep lines around your mouth, it might not happen to you. Can't hurt to try. I've been using this a couple of months now, and I really like it. Just be aware, this product only works on clean skin. Using a moisturizer or makeup with it, thins it, and it won't firm up. As others have stated, using anything over it, causes it to roll-up/pill. I highly recommend this product!

Does it technically work? Yes. Is it finicky? Absolutely. Is it worth the money? That’s your call, personally I won’t be buying it again, and will be looking for something that tightens over time. You have to put a good layer on quickly, I put it right on the brush and brush it on very quickly and firmly, avoiding going over areas more than once It does dry pretty quickly and you can definitely feel it working, some people may find the intensity physically irritating to their skin. If you put anything over it (liquid foundation, lotion, literally anything hydrating) the product rehydrates and rubs off, immediately removing the tightening and brightening effect. I was actually really surprised at how fast it disappeared once removed. It does leave residue around the edges, but I have not experienced the worsening of lines or the strange white spots. This is the sort of thing I’d save to use after really late nights, or on days when I know I’ll be going at 150% all day, and need to look not exhausted at the end of it. I’ll be keeping this order for specific circumstances, but won’t be re-ordering.

It took a few tries to get it right. If I made my decision after my first try, I would have thrown it out. I tried with the brush and with my finger, and I find applying a small amount directly where I need the product, then spreading it evenly with my finger works best. I am also fare skinned, so if I get over zealous I have dark circles because of the tint in the product. It has also caused irritation to the skin if I use it too close to the inner corners of my eye. BUT all of that said, it COMPLETELY ERASES CROWS FEET, SNATCHES MY EYES, REDUCES THE BAGS (they’re not gone). I had zero issues with residue. It’s not a perfect product but it’s a good product. My photos are with and without makeup- withi and without product. You can really see the difference. But again.. it took some practice for me 😮‍💨 - and as uneven as my skin is I don’t wear foundation or cream under the product or it does not work !!!! ❤️❤️

No cumple lo que promete , es falsa la publicidad , deja la piel seca y con las mismas arrugas , no desinflama las bolsas debajo de los ojos , solo parece una capa blanquecina la verdad no tiren su dinero en este producto , le pongo cero.

Didn’t want to give it any stars, but couldn’t do review without selecting at least one star! This product is Horrible, makes your face feel stiff and once you start talking and smiling it wears off. If you happen to cross over any other product where you applied this, it leaves a white powdery looking film on your face, looks like you forgot to blend face powder. It’s garbage, and garbage is where it went.

did nothing for me. made the bags worse and then when I tried to put make up on after make up was caked on, sorry rather deal with the bags, had high hopes for this product but did not work for me x
