Not sure about wearing on belt but comes in strong case that can be kept in resus kit or with defib.

Yes it does form a airtight seal providing when you use the mask on a casualty you form a seal with both your hands around the ring of the mask, this is as taught on First Aid At Work Courses.

I would say the key things to consider are:
1. How old/large is the child?
2. What mode you are using the CPR Face Mask in?
3. Do you have any training in using it?
4. What alternatives are you thinking of?

As a PADI SCUBA Dive Master trained in the use of these masks, I would advise buying just one unit at first. Try it for comfort & fit.  (Get your child to try it as a fun exercise and see if it can make a seal over their nose & mouth).

To be honest, at these prices, just buy one anyway, as it could allow you to help an adult.

If you need smaller sizes, look for BVM (Bag/Valve/Mask) units, which ARE available in smaller sizes for children, right down to Pico (baby) sizes. BUT you really need training for these units, since you could easily damage the lungs of smaller children.

These BVM units are around 4-5 times more expensive than the HypaGuard Pocket CPR, and again, unless you are trained to at least Paramedic standards, you really shouldn't be considering these units.

A bit long-winded, but please not only buy this item, but search for some training, if only online with either British Red Cross or, perhaps for more fun, with the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI), who run fun First Aid Training courses where we cover such items.
