Hibiclens Antimicrobial Skin Liquid Soap with Foaming Pump, 16 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 2)

Wonderful for around the house to help prevent infection in wounds

For the record, I am reviewing: Hibiclens Antimicrobial Skin Liquid Soap with Foaming Pump, 16 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 2) This is the soap that every hospital and surgical center make you use for three days before surgery, and there is a reason why. This soap kills everything and it does it very well. The soap comes out of the pump as a foam, and smooth texture. I am not sure why they dispense it like that but I am pretty sure they do it so that it seams as if you are using a lot of soap. I have used this in the past and the one thing to know about it is that after you wash with it you should let it stay on your skin for a minute or two before you rinse it off. That extra minute or two makes all the difference. Here is how well it works, I am person that struggles with body odor from my pits and crotch area. I have used other RX creams and whatnot but nothing, and I mean nothing including Comet Powder reduces the BO better than this stuff. After the third application of this stuff on my arm pits, I had no smell at all for almost a week. It killed all the bacteria that cause odors. Same for other parts of my body. But a word of caution, I have been advised that you should not use this every day. The maximum I would recommend is not more than three times in a row over two or three days. Then you should give your body a break. This is safe enough to use on your face and other delicate areas but Chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that kills both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and viruses. It is a toxic substance that can be absorbed thru the skin, so using it occasionally is fine but it is not for every-day use. Lastly, I love the smell of this stuff, it does give you a sense if being truly clean after use, and for the price it is darn well worth it. I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

I don't know when this came out, but I think it must be well post-pandemic. I use hibiclens because I work a lot with my hands and get cut all the time. It is a great cleaner for that and speeds healing fast. Believe me I have a lot of trials to prove it. But never have I seen a foam pump with this product. So when it showed up on some feed I have, I was all in and it really is a lot handier for that purpose. I don't know that it has as much use for someone who is not, say a surgeon or a guy like me who welds and uses knives and gets scratched by nails, but for quick wound cleaning (or surgery prep) this is the product. I am so happy to see it when I need it.

Found it to be as advertised. It’s easy on the skin even when used several times per day.

Pre surgery I was required to use this soap for a few days. Since then I use it daily. The feeling that it leaves you with is SUPER clean!

Took a couple of weeks to receive - but received in good shape and no drips. This soap is expensive - but if deal with skin disorders or excess body order - well worth the cost.

I like the foaming dispenser to save on a very expensive, but effective product.
