Turkey Chili with Beans Entrée, 20g Protein, 6 Pack

I took this to work, and discovered that the turkey in it is real, because it made me sleepy, just like a homemade turkey lunch! I love HMR foods generally, because they allow me portion control, and they taste good. I always add some kind of hot sauce or spices to make them even better. I usually feel energized and full after eating them, despite how few calories they contain. So, I will continue taking the other flavors to work. Just not the turkey chili!

I ordered the of Beef Stroganoff and tried the first package today. I have to admit I was impressed. It's not a huge serving, but it's not small. It's actually about what a serving size should be (as opposed to one of my favorite restaurants run by a Polish couple who serve enough for 5 - my wife and I split a plate). The noodles, chunks of beef and gravy are in good proportion - wth large chunks of beef. More than I've seen in typical freezer dishes. The flavor and density was good as well. I enjoyed it, and I plan to keep some around when I'm not reducing calories as well.

When I tried this Turkey Chili I was amazed by the taste and decided this was easier to fix than a canned chili and it is way better. With a little sour cream, a sprinkling of shredded cheddar cheese and some tortilla chips this is really a feast of flavors. This heats up in the microwave in 1-1 1/2 minutes and makes a great lunch or dinner. These do not need to be refrigerated or frozen so they don't take up valuable space. I found room for them in one of my kitchen cupboards. Since they say people who eat beans live longer...I'm eating more beans. If you have issues with beans just get some Beano tablets. I just ordered these again recently because they make such a quick meal and we didn't get time to go to the grocery store last week and still had some nice dinners! These fit on the pantry shelves or in the kitchen cupboards and are ready so fast making them very convenient and economical. I just put more in my shopping cart because these are a favorite in cold weather!

I love this stroganoff and it helps me maintain my weight loss. I used to eat the HMR meals at school because I had such a short lunch break or no lunch break. They are filling, and I can put a fresh green salad with it to complete the meal.

I tried this for the first time today. It is a quick, convenience meal. You need access to a microwave in a lunch room/ break room, and a spoon. I microwaved it for 1 1/2 minutes. Access to a vending machine for a cold drink is helpful (I actually tried it at home). The package contains a flat microwave serving dish/tray and is easily transportable in a handbag or briefcase. The flavor is good.. The salt content is a bit lower than competing products, something I watch because of high blood pressure - It has 590 milligrams of sodium. It is rated on the package as 20 grams of protein, and 10 grams of dietary fiber, with only 200 calories. It has a reasonable pantry shelf life - I purchased this in April 2020, and the package has a Best By date of February 2022. It is not a survival food, as it requires a working microwave.
