Dog Muzzle, Soft Basket Muzzle for Medium Large Dogs, Best to Prevent Biting, Chewing and Barking

Wow! It wasn’t supposed to be here for another few days, I didn’t think! The muzzle fits my dogs face perfectly! The dog I got it for is an 80 pound Staffordshire Bull Terrier (pit bull). I think this will be a great muzzle and will last a very long time. I love that the top strap between the eyes has a strap you can adjust to fit, but the best part about the strap is, the muzzles that are very similar from petsmart have a clip that gets clipped on the head strap, instead of looped around the strap. The loop on the top allows you to put a collar through it, and it also has a loop on the bottom for a collar to go through as well, so there’s two contact points that a collar can be attached thru and give you that extra peace of mind and sense of security that it won’t be able to just be slipped over the dogs ears and allow them to break free from the muzzle! I love the quality of this muzzle, as well! I’m just overall very satisfied with my purchase! I will be ordering more later down the road!

This is no where near what the description says it's supose to look like. There is absolutely NO "patted straps", the "cute bone strap" doenst exist either and instead I got some cheep loop that while muzzle training all my pit bull had to do was get one good paw at it and it came right out of the adjuster. The plastic is soo far from soft/flexable that the muzzle came to me slightly squished and I can't not get it to completely open back up, as you can see in the pictures. The muzzle it's self looks NOTHING like the picture advertised or even the reviews. The plastic is thick and I can bairly even get treat in her mouth due to how thick it is. Let alone her be able to drink threw it. Very disappointed.The chain loop for her colar isn't even a loop it's a plastic hook looking piece that is attached to the bottom of the muzzle. which her colar doesn't even fit into.Would be returning but unfortunately she is getting fixed on Wednesday and I have to muzzle train her in time for her appointment and the muzzle is needed due to she has dog aggression.I had such high hopes for this with all the reviews. And sadly it's NOTHING like described.

First I want to thank this company for making one so tiny! It is the ONLY place I found one of these small enough for our terrier chihuahua mix. She's 10 lbs or less, maybe 8lbs. I got the smallest size. The rubber cage is too big underneath her chin but she still cannot get it off. The issue I did find is that the areas where you can tighten the straps aren't secure. When I first put it on her the side straps came undone from her struggling to take it off with her feet. So I super glued it and now she cannot get it off. I have one of these already for our maltese poodle mix and I know that their collar needs to go through the top strap as well as the under the chin strap. But this didn't come with instructions so if you don't know how to properly put this on then most likely your dog will get it off. Overall I'm so grateful that I was able to find one for her. Our 2 female dogs got into the habit of barking and chasing after anyone that comes in. We are renting a room so it really puts us in a bad position. These dog muzzles are amazing and the dogs can still drink water and pant and the rubber is comfortable under the eyes. This has actually stopped them from barking as well because I guess they know they can't do anything. Thank you!! Other companies need to start making these in tiny sizes for very small dogs. Everyone knows that small dogs can be very aggressive too they just don't do as much damage. This could use a little tweeking to make the cage area more narrow so there isn't a big gap underneath the chin. And that the muzzle straps are more secure after tightening to prevent having to use super glue. A size smaller would be a perfect fit for a chihuahua. I give it a solid B and highly recommend!

It’s OK, it can be a little irritating to the snout and it is not escape proof, It’s OK if you don’t mind having to keep put it back on the dog

It was softer against her face but it wasn't as I found out durable or fitting right. She got it off on her own and completely destroyed it.

The muzzle fits great and seems pretty decent except the two side adjusters are way to loose and thus the side adjusters fall off easily. My dog is pretty used to wearing muzzles and she doesn’t try to take them off frequently. But sometimes if she gets over stimulated she try’s to take it off which is the exact moment she needs to be wearing the muzzle most. Because the side buckles are so loose, she has been able to get the muzzle off on her own before we cab intervene.

My dog hates going to the vet and becomes extremely aggressive. They request she be muzzled. She is a 45 pound staffordshire terrier. She doesn’t mind wearing it and she’s generally not compliant at all. This muzzle doesn’t stress her out because she can still take treats with it on and she doesn’t feel so confined. Much more humane than most muzzles. It definitely allows the vet techs to keep their fingers!!! They appreciate it too, lol!

Over all we wanted to see how thus would work we have to studs that get into fights once in awhile when a female starts to go into heat before we know it. By your reviews we these would work. They are great but would be more effective if the side straps were sewn on because one of the males. Yes we supervised with leashes was able to get the other males strap partially unlooped with his nail. So if you were in a park and a dog came up on no leash thei would have been non defective.

This is a great item. I found the sizing a bit confusing on my part. If the size is right on the change, go with the smaller one. I ordered xl and L was a much better fit.

Head strap adjustment is normal and easy. But the one behind the ears, has multiple size adjustment clips. And they should all face the same direction. However they do not.. so when you adjust an outer one and go to tighten the middle, it cancels out. So it fits large with no a whole lot of room to fix that. She escaped 1x so far. Mistakenly ordered the snout peice a bit bigger as well. But it's nice she has some gained panting room without it being too long and obstruction her vision. Unlike a different model from the same brand that was half silicon half hard plastic. Hard plastic ring that sat on face- already uncomfortable and then plastic broke so poked her face; unable to use anymore. THIS one, is entirely silicon. Everywhere that touches her snout is smooth and soft. Probably best quality for your dollar and more humane for the dog without having a custom one made that you fill find. Measure before buying- very hard to guess on these- window shop around first and see what size combinations are out there.

My dog was able to get out of it, though the fit was perfect, because the side straps don't remain secure. He proceeded to chew the clasp once it was off, in protest id imagine.

The muzzle fit well and seems comfortable for my dog. Unfortunately the straps kept getting loose throughout the day and I had to constantly tighten them again. One time one of the straps actually slipped right out of the buckle.

I honestly was hesitant with the product thinking that my dog was able to remove it and he is not! The muzzle stays on and he is still able to eat if you give treats. My dog (mix pitbull/bulldog) is 9 months and 50 pounds, I got a size Large. It's a perfect fit, once he grows up an XL will definitely fit better.
