RAPTIC Shield Magnetic Clear Case for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7–Compatible with MagSafe, [13FT Mil-Grade Drop Protection], Anodized Shockproof Aluminum Frame Slim Case, Front Frame Made of Plastic

Hands down the best case for the z fold 7. To start, the front is very thin, especially the sides. Most cases that have a front half, have issues. They're too bulky/wide, slide around, have a front screen protector that never sticks right, wiggle around or slide off, or collects dust underneath. This front part does not have that issue. It's very thin on the sides so gestures still feel natural. The only thing that would make ot better is if the sides were flush and top and bottom were raised. The back fits well, is grippy, and contains a magnet. Most backs for other cases are fine, but this one does not inhibit use of the fingerprint reader, the volume rocker works great, and a little wider than the front which makes it a breeze to open. Most of the cases available have significant flaws in certain aspects. Pitaka blocks the fingerprint reader, samsung doesnt have magnet, latercase top is awful, spigen adds bulk, vrs designs has a horrible integrated screen protector and will damage the aluminum. This case is consistently great in every aspect. Keeps the phone thin, front isn't bulky, fingerprint reader very accessible, volume rocker feels great, front doesnt wiggle around, camera is protected, and most importantly, extremely easy to open. Colors available actually match the phone and cheaper than most competitors. 5/5, seemingly the only z fold 7 case made with the phone in hand.

Caveat: I have not received my z fold 7 yet so this review is purely based on the perceived quality of the case and not on the actual fit to the device. Overall thoughts: seems like the back half of the case is very solid and well made. It feels like there is some metal around the edges and you can see little tiny gel bubbles on the inside to help with drops. The magsafe attachment on the back works well with my mini wireless powerbank. There is tape on the back plate for attaching to phone. The tape runs along the hinge. Overall, the back plate seems solid. The front piece of the case doesn't seem like its made out of the same material. It's light weight and 100% plastic. There are no small impact bubbles/ gel on this piece so im worried that in a fall, this piece wouldnt really do anything. It seems a little fragile but only time will tell. I honestly don't know how you get around it since the bezels are smaller on the z fold 7, but the piece on the front that sits on top of the folding part of the phone is SO thin. Seems like if I put any pressure on it, it will break. Overall I think its a fine case. I dont like the cases with the bulky hinge protection and this is a good alternative that adds the magnet attachment. I will probably rock the back half for the mag attachment and leave the front off.

Ticks off all the major categories for what you want I'm a cell phone case. Except it has a clear piece of plastic that covers the screen on The front half of the case. So you get a glare outside in sunlight and struggle to see the screen. And after a week or two the oil from your fingers makes the plastic cloudy. Not cloudy like you just need to wash it clean. Like it eats away at the plastic and then your screen looks like cloudy headlights on your 10yr old car. Took it off after 10 days or so. On a good note I got mad and whipped my phone across the room in it, and the case held up perfectly as did the phone. So it does its job.

After looking around a lot I kept coming back to this case. Wanted something not too thick that still shows phone color in the back. I have the mint. It has a perfect amount of its own style while allowing the phone color to be displayed. I figured if I felt this was too thick I would go with aramid. But I immediately liked it. Has good grip. Even has a notch on the side of the front piece that, I believe, is a way to add extra grip to open the phone. The phone cover itself is enough help to ease opening, but I'll use it every now and then. Good to have. The magnet, so far, is strong enough for my needs. The case is friendly with my screen protector and my camera lens protector, which are 3 individual pieces. Actually, this case uses adhesive. And I forgot to put the screen protector on so I removed the case, applied the protector, and put the case back on. Adhesive is still fine and when I cleaned it before applying the protector, the sticky that remained was easy to remove. It hasn't effected the case staying on. I'm big on cases providing clickey buttons for the volume and this has that, as well as a good space for the fingerprint reader. It's not awkward. This is a solid purchase for my Fold 7. This case is here to stay.

I guess that it doesn't take too much time of using a phone case to be able to write a fair review. Previously I used a Samsung Galaxy S10+ with an X-Doria Defense Lux case. I loved that case for its sturdiness, looks, feel in hand and not being too bulky. I had this case for 2 years and when I finally removed it from the Galaxy S10+ before trading in the phone the case looked just like new... not a scratch, no signs of wear. During the 2 years I only dropped the phone once on a carpet. A couple of weeks ago I traded in the Galaxy S10+ and switched to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Immediately I looked for X-Doria cases and I found that X-Doria is now Raptic. Unfortunately the Defense Lux cases are no more. I saw the Raptic Shield case but in the end, for a reason I will mention later, I decided to go with the Spiegen Tough Armor case. But Raptic was still haunting me. After about 10 days of using the Spiegen case (don't get me wrong, I consider the Spiegen case a good one... you can see my review at the Spiegen Tough Armor case on Amazon) I decided to give the Raptic Shield a try. The one reason that made me a little uneasy about the Raptic Shield was the clear back. While a clear or smoky back can be nice with a phone that itself has a nice looking back, such as the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the clear back will also show the dirt that inevitably finds its way inside the case, between the back of the phone and the clear panel. Unlike the outside dust or dirt you cannot easily wipe the inside. You need to remove the phone from the case, which with some cases it can be pretty difficult, clean the inside surfaces and the back of the phone, then, due to our nasty friend named Static Electricity, clean again and again. You also have to deal with smudges on the back of the phone from handling it during cleaning as these smudges will also show thru the clear back. While not as classy as the X-Doria Carbon Fiber Defense Lux the Raptic Shield does look nice without all kinds of raised or sunken areas on the back. It fits the phone nice and tight. It feels as good in hand as the X-Doria Defense Lux did. It is easy to pick up the phone from your desk without it feeling that it will slip out from between your fingers. The 4 lips around the front overlap the screen slightly less than the Spiegen Tough Armor. The PRO side of this is that it is a little easier to swipe down at the top for the notification panel or from the right side for the Side Panel. The CON side of this is that if you use a glass screen protector such as the Whitestone Dome the gap between the lip and the edge of the glass is ever so slightly wider, mainly at the bottom and top edges. The increased gap on the side though is barely noticeable. This makes the Raptic Shield Case screen protector friendly. The side buttons do not feel quite as soft as they did with the Spiegen case which is something that I like. The case eliminates the camera hump completely. When you lay it down on the desk (or other surface) the phone will be showing the correct level of that surface without you having to make correction for the tilt caused by the camera hump. It looks like the clear back does attract more dust than my previous X-Doria Defense Lux and Spiegen Tough Armor cases did. Or maybe the dust is simply more visible. As for the 10 feet drop I decided to take Raptic at their word. I am not going to willingly test that claim. UPDATE 02/28/2021 Even though I liked this case in the end I decided to return it and continue to use the Spiegen Tough Armor for my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. My initial fears about dirt/dust being visible under the clear case were well founded. Even though the case sits nice and tight around the phone dust manages to find its way inside the case in a relatively short time. This is also true of the Spiegen case but with that case at least is not visible.

YESSS I made the right choice !!!! Slim but soooo secure. This case is amazing for zfold 7. Raptic never disappoint and I drop my phone nearly 3 times a day. Spigen and raptic has my heart. Unfortunately I won't be switching to Spigen cuz this needs adhedive to stick but it's a lot better then casetify cuz casetify is harden to open the phone and scan my finger print. Raptic JOB WELL DONE. Thx for protecting my phone . Otter box got nothing on y'all. And

I just got the fold 7 and wanted a nice case that also shows off that beautiful blue and this is it. The back case looks great and adds just enough bulk to not detract from the thinness of the phone. However, the front part shifts constantly and the thin piece near the hinge doesn't sit still at all and constantly gets caught when using gestures or grabbing the phone from my pocket. I'm not fully dissatisfied with this case, but I don't see it being a long term case either. Good temp case I'd say.

I went thru a few cases for my Z FOLD 7, BEFORE I FOUND THIS CASE..THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST ONE THAT I'VE PURCHASED... THE FEEL OF THE CASE👍👌, STILL KEEPS THE LITE WEIGHT FEEL OF YOUR PHONE 📱 WITH THIS CASE ON YOUR PHONE, AND IT GOES PERFECT 👌 WITH THE BLUE COLOR OF MY Z FOLD 7

El producto se mira mejor en persona, se siente muy buena calidad pero si es algo grande y, mas el tamaño del telefono no lo recomiendo para alguien con manos pequeñas
