Where are the specs on the bit? A history of the company doesnt help me decide if this bit meets what i am looking for?

Please complain to Amazon about the description - they have the complete description but their algorithms thinks this is better because it has more words. 🙄. will this bit cut a 1/4" recess in a 3/4" red oak board? the recess has to be 3" x 4".

This is my bit of choice. This bit makes a good clean cut. So you are cutting a 3" x 4" 0.25" deep?

does this bit cut acrylic like Plexiglas and leave a good edge?

This bit will cut acrylic, however a o-flute bit would be better suited. Any bit you use will probably still leave some visible signs of cutting, the edge can then be polished or some people use a torch to smooth the finish. The key is getting the correct chipload and making sure the part is held firmly. Would this bit be used to cut cirlces in plywood?

Whiteside carbide bit is very high quality. Good clean cuts in plywood. Yes I use this bit to cut circles.
