Just love punky products! Bought this a couple of times along with the blue one for a purple-to-blue ombré effect and it looks stunning! Now trying red-to-purple ombré and it looks amazing too! Works fantastic on bleached hair and even when my roots came through (light brown) it still showed up but a darker purple. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants fun colours and vibrant hair! Works best with bleached or light hair and I use the shampoo about twice a week (once a week would probably be fine) which reignites the colour, but wouldn’t say you need to dye it any colours before for it to work! Love this stuff!

UPDATE 9/28/24: It’s been about 4 days since I colored my hair. It is STILL silky, full and shiny. I can live with the color, just darker than what I’m used to. I haven’t washed it yet so don’t know if it will come out. I guess overall I’m okay with it, however as much as I like it, I prefer the pump brand as the bottle doesn’t get dye all over it. Will prob stick with the original brand. FIRST REVIEW: There’s an old saying “learn the hard way/we learn by our mistakes”. Well I just learned the hard way. I’ve never left a review before bc I’ve never had any issues. I’ve been using another company’s Hair Shampoo, Conditioner and Depositor (3 in 1) for four years and thought I would try this one bc it had more natural products in it. Mistake. I thought if I was really careful I would be okay with the application. (I used rubber gloves for both). First, it was so thick I could barely get it out of the bottle and that was with taking the cover off and squeezing as hard as I could leaning it on the sink. It finally came out but kept sucking back into the bottle. It was a struggle to get it out. The bottle was a complete mess and slippery bc of the dye. (The other company has a pump bottle which is so much easier and comes out perfectly). My counter on my sink IS stained and I was sure to wipe it up right away. It’s still there. I wasn’t able to get it out. I let the depositor sit for 10 minutes and rinsed. It came out good/easy enough but left a lot of color on my forehead and side hairlines. Disappointing. Used makeup remover and still can’t get it out. (I made sure to do use it on a day when I didn’t have anything important coming up). Right now I’m letting it air dry. I have 2 positives. One, the bubblegum smell is amazing and two, as of right now my hair feels silky soft. Hopefully when completely dry it will continue to be soft and give it body and fullness. Not sure about the color yet ~ completely different from the purple I usually use and really don’t like it. I will come back to update after a couple of days, however I won’t be purchasing again. Sorry for the negative review. 🤷🏻♀️

I’ve used purchased this a few times now after trying to find a color-depositing shampoo and/or conditioner that wasn’t meant to just remove brassy tones from blonde/bleached hair. I was trying to find which deposited the most color. This review is for the purple (not lavender) product. MY HAIR: My hair has a few big chunks of deep purple (violet!!) “peekaboo” highlights over bleached sections, and black/purple over all the rest. (Any “creative” color will typically require very light or bleached hair for the vibrance most want in a “creative” color.) WHY I USE IT: Apparently my hair is also super porous, because even washing with cold (BRRR in winter!!) water with color-safe shampoo, the color would fade super quickly into a not-vibrant pink — not the color I want. COLOR: Using this, the color stays vibrant longer and never fades to pink. I still have to get my roots done of course, but I don’t have that line of demarcation from my naturally dark brown-and-gray hair, so I can push it a wee bit longer too. SCENT: bubble gum VALUE: This is half the cost for the same amount of the other one I’ve used that I liked… That one is Watercolors, but it’s much thinner and worse for lather. I’ve not tried any other colors, but would try this brand first for sure if I were to change colors. LATHER: Some reviews complain about the lack of lather. All color-safe shampoo will be light or non-existent on lather because sulfates are harsh surfactants, and surfactants are what makes shampoo lather. **This one is creamy and I don’t have a problem with the lather. **NOTE: As with any color-treated hair, the less frequently you wash it, the better. My hair is thin and tends toward dry, so I don’t have to wash every day. Even so, depositing color every wash kind of takes that out.

The smell of the purple felt familiar but I loved it. I don't know how much of the shampoo I was suppose to use but I place a very GENEROUS amount. My scalp is all purple btw 😅 I was timing it for more than ten minutes with lady gaga' s song disease since I was in the shower. My mom says my hair does look more purple than what my local hair stylist did. I also got stains on the edge of my face and ears but I used a lysol wipe to clean it off. Thing is that my dark brown hair is still there. I forgot to buy the bleach 😅 but that least the purple highlights show more. I'll probably fix it soon.

If you have nice manicured! Please stay away from this stuff.. it’s will stain your nails.. going natural for the 2nd time ( I been natural way before they label this transition) .. I’ve always have used a steel/black deposit color because my hair it’s white not gray or silver !! But turns on a little green that’s the issue with black deposits color.. I like when I achieve a black silvery tone .. but it’s turns a little green I’m a brunette with white hair the whites turns super vibrant purple I love it .. purples thick highlights .. and I use purple mascara on my side burns those baby hair don’t penetrate the color well or the baby hair.. I recommend glove every wash.. hang them dry .. wash my hair upside down and tie it up..I didn’t soak it much. then shower.. rinse out upside down followed by conditioner.. my shower is brown tiles it didn’t stain. But when I brush my hair it did stain my sink with little specks of purple.. Maybe because I did on dry hair the first time !! and used a brush to deposit on roots around face second in the shower on damp hair it didn’t happen.. it stains scalp!! And my nails when I touch it I’m still debating between shampoo or the conditioner deposit.. Between punky & keracolor and Overton I go for this for the price.. and it’s easier to use
