Very cool design. exactly what we were looking fir to go with square metal ballusters. BUT why they don't provide black screws to go with black bracket is a mystery. Especially for the price they charge.

Very stylish and heavy duty but I cannot recommend this product because they have TWO very disappointing flaws that could easily be fixed by the manufacturer: 1) Minus one star because the mounting holes where you screw the bracket to the wall are not in the best locations. They are on the sides horizontally from each other and spaced just far enough apart that it makes it a serious challenge to get both of them in a single 2x4 stud in the wall. And this is critical. Any handrail bracket must be fixed to studs. You cannot miss the stud and settle for sheetrock. We had a hell of a time getting the brackets centered absolutely perfectly over the stud...and even when we did we still had to angle the screws in a bit to get them to both bite the edge of the stud. It’s really just a bad design. It’s as if the manufacturer hasn’t actually used the product to hang a real handrail. The most frustrating part is that this can easily be fixed by relocating the holes for the mounting screws. They could be oriented above and below each other so they would both align with a single stud very easily. Manufacturer- we challenge you to actual try using these to mount a handrail on a 2x4 wall. 2) the matte black version of this product ships with the silver screws shown. WHY??? This looks terrible. I plan to paint mine black but that is such a hassle after I‘ve already spent hours of extra time paying my carpenter to try to hit studs with your incorrectly located screw holes. I just cannot recommend this product. It looks nice but is half-baked. And for the price I paid!?! I feel like the brackets should hang themselves for this price. These are seriously expensive and poorly designed. $150 for brackets? I only spent $100 on my gorgeous 16’ solid oak handrail and the brackets cost MORE than it?!?! Definitely think twice before ordering these. I know they look nice but your installer will curse you...
