Hunger Smart Nutrition Shake to Support Blood Sugar Management

This “Hunger Smart” variety is specifically developed for diabetics to stop or significantly decrease sugar spikes and my husband has been drinking one daily for lunch for over 5 years. He swears by the positive effects both physically AND mentally. The texture or thickness of this shake is creamy and has a great taste. While some protein drinks leave an unpleasant aftertaste, this shake doesn’t. He doesn’t experience diarrhea, constipation, bloating, indigestion or other uncomfortable side effects. He highly recommends it as a daily nutrition replacement.

It tastes okay, but I don't feel any less hungry after I drink one. As for protein and blood sugar, I guess it does what it's supposed to do, but I see absolutely no reason it should be this expensive. There are lower priced alternatives out there, and believe me, I'm looking!

I love this drink and how I feel when I have one every day. My body so much needed protein and this drink fills that need; also, although I am not diabetic, my mom was and I try to prevent having that destructive illness myself. I have been drinking Glucerna for many years and now that there is the Hunger Smart type, I can't be without it, it is my breakfast after my blood pressure medications. The only flavor I don't like is vanilla, but that happens also with ice cream. My favorite is Chocolate, of course you have to chill it first. Very friendly to my stomach too (I am lactose intolerant). No medicine taste. Update August 2024 I reinitiated my deliveries from Amazon which I had stopped because in two occasions the drinks arrived excessively hot after being on the way for several terrible summer days and -afraid they would be contaminated- I had to throw them away. They should be more careful about how they handle perishable products and pack them with some protection. Well this time the box was kind of flimsy and open on the sides at the bottom. Although no bottles were missing, one of them was up side down, meaning it had already been put back inside by someone. Only one bottle was dented, so I kept them, because the others were fine and at least when I received them they were cool. I will only be ordering through fall and winter, unless Amazon decides to improve shipping and handling procedures. Too expensive, though, and coupons can't be used in Amazon or maybe I haven't found the way to do it. Said that, Glucerna is an essential breakfast for me; I love it and it's very beneficial to my digestive health and my nutrition, besides to some extent protecting me from becoming a diabetic. I consider it delicious -Hunger Smart Chocolate Smart -15 g protein.
