AnySharp Pro Metal Knife Sharpener with Suction, Cream

My husband had owned his previous knife sharpener for years and there was 'nothing wrong with it', except it was rusting and scruffy and not really doing the job! Anyway I ordered this and only told him once the deed was done. Of course the discussion about his trusty sharpener happened again but this time it was too late. This arrived a couple of days later, I was surprised at how little and neat it is but don't let that fool you, this is one heck of a knife sharpener. Our supposedly sharp knives were given the treatment by it and hubby had to concede that this was better than his. Not just better, but absolutely brilliant, high praise indeed considering he didn't think we needed it! It sticks like glue to the worktop so you feel safe using it, it's also small enough and attractive enough to leave out on the worktop which saves the rifling through the drawer in search of the hideous, slightly rusty, almost antique thing we used to own!

finding a totally smooth surface for it to stick to was a problem in our kitchen... the first one we ordered literally disapeared from our house. best guess, it lost suction where it was attached and either fell directy into the recycling or was placed in there by our two year old. So with the replacement, we have to keep it in the drawer and stick it to our glass hob when we want to use it, with a chopping board in front to top the blade hitting the glass. really sounds far from ideal when you put it like that, but the knives are excellently sharp like new if not better.

Of all the items I have bought on the internet over the years not one has ever made me sit down and write a review, if something does what I expect it to do I don’t feel the need to gush over it. This knife sharpener however exceeded my expectations many times over. I have a set of Zwilling and Henkel professional chefs knives that I paid hundreds of pounds for ten years ago. Despite my best efforts to keep them sharp with a butchers steel over the years the edge had gone and it was become increasingly difficult to sharpen them. Before biting the bullet and remortgaging the house to buy a new set I thought I would try this AnySharp sharpener. It is amazing, a few draws through the ceramic blade and my knives were back to as good as new, even my paring knife, which someone dropped point first onto a flagstone bending the tip badly was back to perfect. I have no hesitation recommending this product. It is brilliant. Mark.

Wow great little sharpener , was going to get the 9 99 version but it's plastic , I got this one because it made metAl so just my thing of lasting maybe longer , plus seem to have more weight to it , but worth getting than spending out on new knives , i have a cheap knife from the poundshop I had it a couple years and funny enough it lasted longer than my £20 veg knife , I look at the video on you tube and thought no way can a dirty rusty trowel can't cut through paper , thought it was a selling ploy , so after hunting through dads old tools i found it and i tried i , I was amazed it did actually work , so go get yourself one

Absolutely brilliant. A lot smaller than I expected but big in performance. My knives were very blunt but a couple of swipes and they were better than new. Used on all my knives even the serrated bread knive. Suction was better on my table than my worktop because the worktop is 'dimpled". I have already recommended to a number of friends.

Very disappointed with this knife sharpener. Was having better results with a sharpening iron! Whereas the instructions say you only need to draw the blade gently through the sharpener 5 or 6 times, I found that even 3x this amount barely made any improvement. On the fourth occasion of using it, the suction cup broke away from the central post, rendering it unusable.

Received this sharpener, took it out of the box, placed it on a flat surface and pulled the handle down to lock it to the surface and the whole thing sprung apart, the rubber base is not secured to the main pin that is attached to the locking handle. Ordered a replacement off Amazon to send back faulty product and never received a replacement, this was over one month ago now. Useless.

I was amazed by this little gadget. The suction to my worktop is terrific for such a small device. After sharpening my main kitchen knife and seeing how sharp it got after just 3 strokes through, I got a little obsessed and ended up sharpening all my chopping knives and bread knife! One of the best investments I've made this year so far...#EasilyPleased

Ich wollte eine Möglichkeit schnell und unkompliziert meine Messer zu schärfen. Dafür ist dieses kleine uns sehr praktische Werkzeug sehr, sehr gut. Die Messer sind sehr scharf, die Anwendung sehr praktisch, einfach und schnell. Der optimal Winkel für Messer wird eingehalten, man kann eigentlich nicht verkehrt machen. Es wird auch sichtbar Material abgetragen. Die Messer sind nach der Behandlung auch sehr gut mit dem normalen Schleifstahl abziehbar, haben also eine gute Standzeit. Meine Mutter ist 80 Jahre alt. Als sie das Teil bei mir gesehen hat wollte sie auch einen. Ich habe ihr einen bestellt und selbst sie kommt super damit klar. Was will man mehr. Besser als so mancher "Schleifservice". Was die da so manchmal meinen Messern angetan haben will ich gar nicht mehr wissen. So ist alles in meiner Hand und das ist mir sehr angenehm. Volle Punktzahl und Empfehlung.

Ho acquistato il prodotto per fare un regalo a mia madre. Inizialmente sono rimasta perplessa perché è piccolissimo. Invece il suo lavoro lo fa benissimo ed essendo piccolissimo non è ingombrante per niente. Aderisce perfettamente al superficie, in modo che quando vengono limate i coltelli non si muova. L'ho acquistato alcuni mesi fa, quindi è stato testato diverse volte. Ancora oggi è come nuovo e affila le lame come il primo giorno. Consigliato

Muy pequeño, el toque de porcelana crema está muy bien, y el imán me permite tenerlo pegado en el lateral de la nevera. Es decir, un "trasto" menos en los cajones y siempre localizable. De momento afila estupendamente.

Si no sabes usar una chaira, como es mi caso, este tipo de afilador es muy fácil de usar. La ventosa es muy potente y se agarra bien a la encimera de la cocina.

Piccolo, maneggevole, sicuro. La forte ventosa fa si’ che rimanga ben stabile sul tavolo, permettendone l’uso in piena sicurezza. Facile da usare. Le lame vengono affilate bene, per essere un prodotto casalingo.
