Good licorice taste great.
i'm diabetic eating 1 or 2 didn't really spike my blood sugar too much - your mileage may vary consult your doctor, I'm not a doctor. Oddly enough my a1c did go down. I wouldn't recommend eating a large amount in one sitting just a piece here and there. These are not a harsh flavor. Sometimes licorice hurts a little because it tastes too strong. This is not the case with this brand it has a "light" yet present flavor. These are the perfect balance they leave a lingering aftertaste that's not too much and not too little. After I opened mine I put them in a resealable freezer bag to keep them fresh and stored them at room temperature. I think the best way to consume them is 1 piece an hour over several days/weeks and savor the flavor really get in the moment and just enjoy it.

Good Black Licorice Flavor
I was surprised when I got my licorice because it says it weighs one poun, so I thought it would be much larger. However, I tasted it, and was happily satisfied. It’s real soft and chewy, with a true black licorice flavor. The flavor is a bit intense, so I’m going to take a real long time to eat it, as I want to enjoy every bite slowly as possible.

DISAPPOINTED
I love licorice, And have consumed FINNSKA black licorice for years. Now that I am prediabetic I decided to try their SUGARLESS black licorice. This licorice is made with MALTITOL SYRUP as a substitute for sugar. This product looks like licorice, it is black like licorice, and very chewy. HOWEVER THERE IS NO LICORICE TASTE AT ALL IN THIS PRODUCT. THE MALTITOL LEAVES A VERY DISTINCT SLIMY FEEL IN YOUR MOUTH. I was very disappointed with this purchase. I know FINNSKA has a good product and this one needs work.

Barely can taste the licorice flavor. Like tar in my teeth. Ok I guess because it didn't raise glucose much after a few pieces. Won't throw it out, but will not order more.
