BUILT Neoprene and Silicone Ultimate Grip 12.5 Inch Oven Mitt Red 5214801

I used to have another style of these mitts, but they died. I ordered same brand as the other brands don't provide enough protection over 450 degrees and these gloves are awesome! I bake bread at 500 and the clay cloche gets very hot and this brand takes the heat! Highly recommend. I wish they would make the all neoprene mitt again and no silicone as the all neoprene fit like a glove and these do run a bit big for my smaller hands.

I had one of these previously that was mostly made out of neoprene. This updated version is a bit shorter doesn’t go up the arm as far.This one has more silicone coverage - which is hood, but smaller. I’ve found they hold up well.

I have several kitchen mittens/gloves that I've collected. Not that I'm the main cook, but I do try to help. My usual problem with these items is that they are made for women's hands, not my larger hands. So I was quite pleased that this glove fit me so well. That's not to say that it is too large for women or men with smaller hands. My wife said it fits her fine too. I don't feel any heat when picking up a hot handle pan or removing something from the oven. It is made to give an excellent non-slip grip and it is for both right/left hands.

The design of this mitt makes it very difficult to grip a pot, pan, dish, etc. with just one hand.

It does the job but it’s stiff. Yes you can clean it better than a cloth one but you don’t have that comfy feeling of the old fashioned kind. I’ll use it but I’m not throwing out my greasy dirty cloth one.

These are great -- made of wet suit neoprene and silicon, they are large enough to fit any hand. The strong loops hang on any hook when not in use. The color is as it looks in the photos. I've taken a few things out of the oven with them now and haven't even felt a twinge of heat coming through, so I recommend them. The only problem you might have with them is if you have very small hands -- they could fall off more easily.

I returned the mitt as it was too big for my hand. I can't comment on how well it protected me as I didn't test them.

I bought one BUILT Neoprene Sizzler Extra Long Multi Dot oven mitt a few years ago when I was overseas. I had wanted another one to make a pair but this model is not available. Built NY 5214801 are in stock thus I decided to buy a pair because of the brand BUILT is of good quality and keep my hands cool when I use them.Great brand !
