From 1950 Sears to Modern Day Guitars
My first electric guitar was a Sears Silvertone (one of those Amp in case models). Anyway, this retrospect of the Danelectro guitar company explains that and a whole lot more. It includes pricing of what these gems went for and what they are worth now. A must read for anyone who grew up as a budding guitarist in the 1950-early 1960 and started on one of these babies!

Danelectro Rocks!
My first real guitar was a Silvertone, Dano. I still have it and it plays just fine, I'm 65. This is a great book about the Danelectro line. Any guitar nut like me will like it. Some reprints of catalogs, some new pictures, good interviews, great section on Vinnie Bell. And a excellent bio on Nat Daniel. I like it because I can just pick it up and I will always find a good section to revisit. The author has done an excellent job of gather and compiling a detailed book on the history and models of Danelecto Guitars.

Neptune Bound: The Ultimate Danelectro Guitar Guide
Very informative book on these guitar models. Well written and an easy read, as well. Will definitely keep this as valuable reference source.

It really IS the ultimate book about the history of Danelectro.
The ultimate book on the history of the original Danelectro instruments. It stops short of including the reissue instruments. Overall an excellent book.

Masonite rules!
An acceptable overview of all of the guitars and some of the amps. Still, the data is uneven (particularly when dealing with scale lengths, which are quoted about 50% or the time)But, it is a beginning and eventually, all the info will be printed. In the meantime, it will have to suffice.

The Dano Book
I was very interested in the original Danelectro guitars and found this book. Very interesting read. Plenty of photographs describing the Danelectros.

Book quality is lacking (poor binding) content is a bit over-rated. claims of factory one-offs that are actually much later parts guitars.

Great Book!
Fantastic tour through the history of Danelectro. Gets derailed with unnecessary lists (all Danelectro players ever and all the songs Vinnie Bell has played on) but provides enough other details and pictures to make the book a great companion.

material innovations
Guitar geeks acknowledge the American post-war pioneer as Leo Fender, who on the basis of just three models(one bass, two electric)created today's brand monolith ona 'keep it simple/exactly what it says on the tin'philosophy.Nowadays us G/geeks areaware of other electric guitar makers whose creations didn't have the matching business backup, yet had more soul than the endlessly retweaked/remarketed 50's Fender templates.Semie Moseley's product even rivalled the Strat in the iconics zone.On the other side of the country,Nathan Daniel started his company in 1947 andwhat happened after that fills the 400+ large pages of this book. The enduring myth attaching to Danelectro, that they are made from bent paper clips and compressed belly-button lint is herein put in perspective.Anyone with a passing interest in the development of electric guitars will end up drooling at the depth and variety of the visual content (not just the topless girl band)of this thorough and totally entertaining history of a truly individualistic music equipment maker still shippingbig in the era of Chinese-churnout sourcing.
