Break it in before you hate on it
The release latch to put up sticks until it gets a little wear but overall it’s a great system y’all are sleeping on because you want a minn Kota.

Not just a great price, but a great motor!
Absolutely loved the motor for the price. It went toe-to-toe with models twice the price. My only complaint is the cam lock that you use when the motor is stowed. I was coming back in from a great day on the bay, running around 40mph. There was a very light chop on the water. The motor was locked down with a strap going across the top. We hit the light chop, and the motor self-deployed at full speed. Before I could stop, the shaft snapped in two. The reason I still rate it at 4 stars is because of the customer service. They refunded me the full price and paid for the return shipping, no questions asked. I will probably replace it with the same model, but will add a motor stabilizer for transport, or use the quick release bracket and remove the motor during transport

A great motor
Pulls my 20 ft pontoon boat easily and quietly through the water. I mounted on the front. With remote I can operate from anywhere on the pontoon.
