Chef'n Countertop Sprouter Growing Kit, One Size, Baking White/Wasabi/Glass

I have used mason jars fitted with screens for sprouting in the past. Last week I tried 2 different trays for sprouting, and they dry out too fast, and are more difficult to use. This jar is perfect. The seeds have a lot of surface to stick to on the glass, and received light. The hole on the bottom allows air to circulate, and the design requires no tray under it, because of how the water drips only down the sides of the glass. Easy to add water and drain, easy to see progress, clean and attractive. I bought a second one so that I could stagger the sprouting.

Update: 5th batch. Still working great.I was hesitant to buy this product because of the review that said it didn’t work for broccoli sprouts because “the seeds fall out”. Well it works just fine and none of my broccoli seeds fell out. I followed the directions and I had amazing sprouts after 4 days. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you.

Try to grow alfalfa sprouts, this contraption looks nice but funky to rinse the seeds, the seeds get stuck in the screen, and I can’t figure out how to successfully rinse the seed hulls out of the jar. Going back to my wide mouth mason jars with the various sized screen. No problem getting the hulls out, much easier

Follow your own directions on this thing, it does not seem to work as well. That or I had no so nice seeds.

I don’t even know how to describe this item. To start, it was perfect shipping. No issues there. I read and watched how To use this thing. It seemed simple enough to use. Until I actually used it.So, I’m sure that it will be a great tool to use for larger seeds(as in using it right now for someGarbanzo beans) trying to use it for smaller seeds is not as easy to do.Yes. They did get soaked overnight. Yes I did the whole rinse twice a day thing. Yes I had most of the seeds sprout. But between the bottomsuselessness, The way the “strainer “ would get after you rinsed (seedlings becoming lodged and then having to unstick them), it was a pain to use. I wanted to like it. I just couldn’t.

I received sprout seeds for Christmas and I bought this because it looked easy to use and I don’t need a lot of sprouts at one time. ( I am the only person in my family that eats them)This has been the best product! I use it everyday. It doesn’t take up a lot of space on my counter, the strainer top is wonderful and makes it super quick and easy to rinse my sprouts. I can easily see when they are ready and there is no mess after. I just wash, rinse and add more seeds.So if you love sprouts and want a no mess easy way to grow them, then this is the product for you. Look no further!!!

I was somewhat confused by why people would pay 100 dollars a more for a sprouting machine that you plug into the wall, or 6 dollars for a pack of pre-seeded sprouts. I assumed there must be some reason and this inexpensive device (or mason jars) were somehow less effective.I am happy to tell you that this works exactly like it says it does. In 5 days, I had FRESH sprouts with only a few minutes work per day. Now, I will be two more and have sprouts constantly.

I was super excited to find this small, attractive sprouter because I've been wanting to replace my plastic sprouter for something more attractive--either clay or glass. This is perfect. I soaked the alfalfa seeds overnight and didn't notice a significant loss of seeds during the rinse process-- I did pour from the side the first couple of days as a reviewer suggested. I appreciate the design, ease of use, and the ventilation system of this sprouter. The attached photo shows sprouts from day 2 - day 4. I may be purchasing another one to get a rotation system going.
