ShaktiMat Acupressure Mat for Tension Release, Classic Level 1 Black

Holy canoli! This was intense! But I felt fully prepared because they make that very clear. I ordered the Shakti brand and another brand that was a third the price at the same time and compared both. The Shakti brand was Superior and a number of different ways. The fabric quality was denser thicker and softer. The spikes had more points (level 1) per Circle, and were a lot sharper than the cheaper brand. I spent 10 minutes please on each and didn't feel much pain relief I'm a cheaper one, even though it was a lot less painful at first. The Shakti Matt took my breath away and I had a hard time relaxing on it, especially on the low back. The pros to this however are that it made me aware that I put more weight on one side of my hips than the other and helped me level out and find balance. Quite unexpected. The foam inside the mat is definitely higher quality than the cheaper one which was completely flat after 10 minutes and didn't rebound quickly like the Shakti mat did. Overall I decided to keep the Shakti that despite the higher price because it's definitely superior quality. I felt better pain relief with it, although initially way more pain. Everywhere else took about 5 minutes for me to relax and feel good, and my low back took a full 15 minutes to be able to completely relax into it. Peeling off the mat also hurt. I think this is because of the way you have to distribute your weight in order to get up. I feel a lot of heat and energy everywhere and a lot of pain relief in the low back and neck.

This thing is life changing! know that sounds dramatic. But my continual back pain had me feeling so miserable constantly. It was effecting me emotionally as well a physically. Massages are too expensive for me. And even after I get them, I’m hurting again in a matter of days. Massage devices just bruise me. But all I have to do for relief is lie on this mat. That’s it! The effect lasts too. It will be days before I have to use it again. But even if I’m not in pain, it relaxes me. I cannot recommend this strongly enough. It’s more than worth the price. I got the beginner mat. But compared to the cheaper mats I’ve seen online, the spikes on those aren’t as long and sharp. That’s why I chose to try this particular mat. My pain is intense and I needed something that would really make a difference. I have been using it for a couple of months now and I may get the more advanced mat soon. But so far it’s still working great for me.

I gave it four stars simply because it didn’t come with a cover, but otherwise I really like this mat

Was a gift that I have been stealing an using. Love to lay on it a couple of times a week. Feels so good and body is super relaxed after, highly recommend.

Bought at the recommendation of a friend who has had excellent results from using and so far I’m a fan, as well! It’s not exactly painful, but it’s not really comfortable. I consider it similar to getting a tattoo - but those don’t really hurt me most of the time.

This was my first time trying the shakti mat. I started using it on my bed first with a T-shirt on. As I was able to increase the time up to 20 minutes I moved it to the floor and now I can use it without a barrier on the hard surface. The first few minutes are always very uncomfortable. Then like everyone else said, after a few minutes, your body just starts to melt, and you can feel attention leaving. The mats have been very helpful with my autoimmune and health issues. They are easy to store and have held up very nicely. It’s my favorite nighttime routine.

I wanted to like this, but I just didn't. I didn't relax with this at all. In fact the spikes were extremely uncomfortable (I know they would be), but it wasn't worth the money to be THAT uncomfortable without getting any of the benefits. The size was nice and did cover my back. Pain was not relived, if fact it brought more temporary paid.

Love my Shakti mat. Have had it a while now and now hubby is starting to get into it I may have to upgrade to the next level. Brilliant company. Don't buy the lesser ones buy Shakti !! Would recommend for sure. So relaxed and sleep great.

The best purchase I’ve ever made! This helps so much with back pain and the pillow works just as well for neck pain and headaches. They say you may have to use it a few times to get comfortable with it but honestly, I loved it right away. Careful though because you can drift of for a healing nap pretty quick!

I thought I would give a try now I use it every day, it is amazing! A must for anyone with joint or muscle pain, I have MS this mat has made my life more bearable.

Not used as much as I would like but love this. At first you think oh blimey that’s uncomfortable but the more you lay on it the more acceptable it becomes, actually fell sleep. Try it on your bed it’s a bit more forgiving. Great quality, rolls away easy ( I should have bough the neck pillow too) I bought the black one which was a great choice

My hubby kept mentioning this type of acupressure mat as a means for us to relax and try at home. He is a physiotherapist and always looking for ways to be proactive with his body. This mat has not disappointed. I got him the level one and it works great. He tried it, then I tried, then all my friends have tried. Once you get beyond the first few minutes of it being uncomfortable it’s oddly relaxing and brings a lot of blood flow to the areas it’s laying pressure to. I’m VERY satisfied and we use it almost daily.
