New Upick 11/13/15/23mm 100pcs Shell Buttons Sewing Craft Buttons 2 Holes (11mm)

I ordered some of these on Etsy, they never showed so I finally found some decent looking ones in the exact size here. The Etsy ones were like $12 for 5, for the same size, to be clear. I was surprised, because I wanted REAL abalone shell buttons, and it said these were plastic? They indeed ARE real shell (not abalone likely due to the price alone). SUPER strong - to determine if they were plastic I attempted to break them, i wound up having to put the needle through the hole of the button and REALLY crank on it, as shears or anything else wasn't working haha. The concern I saw about "chipping" or the "coating" coming off - bruh - it's a shell... Literally is nature there, and it's almost like tree bark - the underneath doesn't look bad at all. Perhaps over multiple washes the outside will all come off, but I wanted these for the luminus interior anyways, it's a very nice - more white-ish clam like surface - some color but mostly white. Lastly, they are quite thick, again don't feel like they will break on me, and the holes all seem to be very uniform. For this price, 100pcs, i'm sure i'll run out of things to put them on before anything haha.

These buttons are thin, but most mother of pearl buttons are. They are lovely and none of them were broken.

These natural buttons are very pretty. However, many of them are quite thin and would not hold up to the wear and tear of use on a garment or in a clothes dryer. I actually purchased them to use in a craft. The thin ones are fine for sewing on something non-clothing and that is what I did with the thinner ones. I had to pick through all of them to find the thicker ones to string on a wire heart wreath. A few of the thinner ones broke while trying to pull the wire through them to make the wreath. They are a good value if you can find a non- clothing use for the thin ones which are a high percentage of the overall amount of buttons. They are pretty but a lot of them are just too fragile.

These 25mm shell Buttons are perfect for my needs. They are smooth and shiny. I like the way they glimmer. If you look at the pictures you can see the actual size. They are between a nickel and a quarter size. All the shells are uniform with the same size. Some of the shells are flatter than others. Each button has two holes making it perfect for crafting. The buttons come in lots of 100. I counted my buttons just to be sure. Even though I was short four buttons, it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning them. I am just happy I finally found the right size buttons. They are so pretty. They are worth every penny. I will be ordering another pack.

Really nice buttons for what I needed them for - they are not completely flat but that didn’t matter to me - and they all have the beautiful iridescence that I was hoping for!

I don't what to say about these. I got the 11mm, and I perhaps stupidly in spite of choosing that choice, somehow thought from the title of the item about it was going to be a package of ASSORTED sizes, so that I was likely to find the right size among them. As most of us crafters/sewers know, we have lost our JoAnn stores and can't just go find the right button. I struggled with my measuring tape to try and figure out what size i needed to replace those on a shirt. I googled and found a size chart on line I could not easily print off...by luck/chance the package I received is ONLY 11mm. and that does appear to be a typical shirt button size and will work, size wise. HOWEVER from the picture it made it appear at least SOME of the buttons, while still being shell, were BLACK or smoky gray...and the listing as I read it NOW is showing as brown. The order was a package of all the same size, and they do appear to be natural shell...but ALL are the same coloring, the typical white irridescent with natural BROWN reverse side because they are shell. So they will not be brown, if that's what you're looking for, unless you put them on upside down. For sure they are an improvement on the black shirt I was looking to replace the brownish plastic, but not at all what I was expecting. Others were considerably more expensive and buying them would negate any savings on the sale shirt. AND they most definitely are NOT OVAL. They are round.

This is my 2nd order of these buttons the first batch were great only 1 or 2 I couldn't use due to the shape and thickness. So I reordered ... 2nd batch is awful, thin, curved, misshapen will definitely not buy again, I'll toss away at least half of them as they are unusable.

These buttons are cut out of a nice shell. Neat cut and they don't break when they are sewn.
